Hey ALL...I pulled the trigger last week and ordered an H3...woohoo...I didn't like the factory rack, but need to know what else is available out there...I was able to find this one:
http://www.thuleracks.com/thule/fg_choices.asp?car_id=8011&sport=27&factory_roof_rack=-1&year=2006&roof_id=7748&option_number=1

Thanks...but the wait is killing me, hopefully I'll get it before our first snow...then once that is over, I'll have to wait for my first chance to throw the canoe on and do some fishing...=)
I wanted a yakima rack for the car, but called them and they said they did not have one for the H3...after seeing yours, I'm kinda siked now...I do have a question for you...
1. Are there special Landing Pads for the H3 or is it one size fits all?
2. Is there any drilling required to get the Landing Pads to install?
Thanks

1. No special landing pad, I believe Yakima Q tower.
2. No drilling.
The catch is, the rail mounting plate!
I used the Yakima tower bolts and, the H3 attachment plates.(same thread size)
These plates are the one's that are used for the tie down loops on the factory rails of the H3. The problem is, that you only get four of them (4-tie down loops). You need eight of them (2 for each Yakima tower).
I had a warranty issue w/ my rails so, the dealership replaced the complete rail system along w/ the tie down loops. I was able to talk them into letting me keep the four loops on the damaged rails, thus ending up w/ the eight mounting plates that I needed.
I also contacted Yakima re. the towers for the H3 back in September 2005 and they told me they have not had an H3 to use as a design platform and didn't know when that would happen so, I took matters into my own hands (I didn't want to wait!)
I wish I could come up w/ a logical solution for you!
you can try to do what I did or you can go to a metal fab shop and see if they can poss. make the plates for you.
I have also herd that Thule makes a Mount that does fit the H3.
Personally I prefer the Yakima products!

If you just need a rack for a canoe, the stock bars work fine. Here's some pics of mine, just get some good straps at REI and sandwich the canoe to the bars tight.
