Preparing your vehicle for the winter season is one of the most important keys to safe winter driving. Have a mechanic check the following items on your car before the temperatures drop.
Battery
Ignition System
Lights
Exhaust system
Brakes
Oil Level
Antifreeze
Thermostat
Flashing hazard lights
Heater
Defroster
Tires/tread
Wipers and windshield washer fluidAlso, be sure to keep a windshield scraper and small broom for ice and snow removal, and maintain at least a half tank of gas at all times during the winter season.

I'd say a space blanket and some flares too.

What's a windshield scraper? Why would you scrape your windshield? Is it for bug removal?

Make sure to pack extra, extra, extra chocolates and have a hidden bottle of gatorade tucked away where no one will find it.

Just tell him that Tim pushed the A$$hole button on his phone and it dialed this number. He will know who it is.
Hahahaha! At least that narrows it down to three or four of us. :D

You can ease up on the name calling here. Get over it. How was I supposed to know to use the dwarf pattern when I made your cape?
We usually just turn up the heat.:p

A trash bag will work just as well. The reflective capability of a space blanket has negligible or no insulative or heat gain effects compared to plain plastic. They are worth having in the vehicle as they are compact and cheap, but don't be fooled in to thinking it will do anything for you that a trash bag won't do. A couple of the big black trash bags makes a great sleeping bag, and they work well as ponchos in the rain, etc.
Oh man! The classy PhilD image has just been replaced by a trash bag wearing dude.

Paragon and I wore trash bag like things in New Orleans for a whole weekend. We were there for Mardi Gras and it rained the whole weekend. Sucked for the guys, kind of hard to show your tits when everyone is in trash bags. :giggling: :giggling: :giggling: (not me showing tits, by the way)

In the winter? Oh...Texas. Up here I think you'd need a whole box of bags before they'd be useful in the winter.
Oh, how tall are you? I know you're short, but even 30 gallon bags aren't more than, what, 4 feet?

He's over 6' tall.
Ah, that's right. He's not got the shortness problem, just the baldness problem. My bad memory.
