leather issue

Any suggestions on how to clean the light cashmire leather? The left side of the drivers seat is looking dirty and worn at 3000 miles. I have read that other people are having the same problem. I have used miguires leather wipes on the seats, I tried miguires leather cleaner/conditioner on the dark stained areas but it does nothing. Guy at auto parts store suggested a leather cleaner for coats/shoes...help?

I've used Leatherique products on all our vehicles for several years now with only exceptional results (also use it on leather shoes, jackets, wife's purses, etc.). Have tried other products as well, but Leatherique is all I'll use now. (www.leatherique.com (http://www.leatherique.com)) It will leave your interior smelling like fresh leather. They also sell dye, which they can match to your interior color, if you need to touch up worn areas.

The rejuvenator oil is what you'll need to apply first in order to "float" the dirt and grime out of the pores of the leather, and soften the leather at the same time. Follow this up with the pristine cleaner to remove any remnant grime, and buff to shine. They have instructions on their website -- or simply ask to speak with George (the owner).

I use the pristine cleaner weekly to wipe down the interiors (vinyl, leather, rubber, it doesn't matter). Spray on and wipe off.

BTW, I have no affiliation with them...just a happy customer.

Another product that you might want to consider is Mothers leather cleaner. I had a light leather interior in my Excursion, and after a few months, it was starting to look pretty bad. I sometimes wear black jeans, and I noticed that when they were new, they were starting to turn the leather seats black. Mothers cleaned it and it looked good as new.

Thanks! I will give if a try, I think that is exactly what has happened, My wife wears black pants for work and thats what it looks like

I know some detailers that use a 10-1 mix of woolite on leather. 10 parts water, 1 part woolite in spray bottle.. spray it on, wipe it off. Looks great. I will see if I can get some pics to show you the before and afters... very drastic

Wow, what a difference!:clapping: It even appears that Woolite mixture on the seats makes the carpet appear to be vacuumed.
