Ok..here's another whine report. Spoke to GM and they checked on the Amber Roof Marker Lamp Option #UNH. There saying 4 weeks more till available. So don't expect to be able to get them on your new 2007 H3 anytime soon. Not that there's anyone here who has them. I like them ..and refuse to give up untill I get them..!!!;)

My Dealer BS -ed me and told me they were back in production. NOT.!!
In fact my H3 was kicked out of the GM puter and killed over a month ago.I found this out last Thursday.

After a shouting match with the dealer.....My order deposit is in route back to me originally give to him on 8/1/06.

After speaking with GM marketing he did indicate but would not say for sure that there are some interior changes coming for 2007.

I think the plant closes for XMAS for 3 weeks...( maybe one of the Hummer Builders can varify that) in December.

So...I'm back to square 1 for ordering my H3...... Heh... January's a nice month to order an H3 ....:D

Maybe my buddy with the CJ put a curse on me...

You've GOT to be joking?!?!?! All this time and they (dealer) just sort of strung you along?? Well, at least by now you'll know all of the ins and outs of the H3 .. even before you've owned one! (:giggling:) Take your money elsewheres and have them do it right for you! Good luck to you!

Talk to Justin Tompson (jthompson@sewellhummer.com) at Sewell Hummer in Dallas, Texas. He got me an awesome H3 shipped all the way overseas at a good price. They might already have something on the lot with your name on it :)

He just got busy and didn't follow up or keep track when the General Bounced my order. Then tried to lie about it. Like I said... Some day you eat the Lion...And Some days the Lion eats you.

Can't whine about it...I'm not the only one this has happen too I'm sure. Must be a ton of dealer nightmare stories on this forum. God knows I see enough horror stories about service after you get your H3.

But GM has been really supportive and very helpful on the phone. They went out of there way to try and help even offering to pay to have the Lamps installed after the fact.

It's not GM's fault that this got screwed up. It's the dealer... GM has a problem there trying to work out to make sure there product quality remains high. I can't fault them for that.

I'm a GM guy and I'm holding out for those marker lamps ...cause I want them..!!:D

Mine haven't sung yet, but two weekends ago as we were approaching the Rockies by East Glacier Park we hit head wind gusts probably between 60 -70 mph while I was doing 65 mph at night on a state road - they made a whapping sound until I slowed down to about 50 :o

Last week they confirmed gusts to 74 mph.

Now go back to that dealer and get your interest also on your money that they had. This is a legal issue and make them aware of that. Search around and find the highest % on a savings, CD or whatever and that would be what they owe you. It was your money not theirs. You have so many resources to use at your finger tips. Go after them!

I had the Marker Lights put on by Sewell Dallas and they used a silicone adhesive to fix the noise. The only noise now is my Monsoon cranked or my band in the passenger and back seats cackling on the way to go for a cold one after practice...

I'm back at work this morning, maybe, if I have time, I'll call engineering about the marker lamps. Marketing does not make this decision, it is a decision by engineering. (Ever see a marketing person actually work on a car or truck?:clapping: ).

Only interior changes in the '07 are the location of the switches will be moved, but H3 Builder stated the start of production on that will be after Christmas shutdown. Shutdown, if vehicles are selling good, which I believe they are, starts on the Friday before Christmas and ends on Jan. 2. Some plants are closing for three weeks, but not sure about Shreveport.

I'm going to wait till Jauary now to order or search the world for what I want..so hopefully I'll get the latest Verison of the H3.

We gave up on mammals. Losing them is too traumatic. :OWNED:

I am currently owned and managed by a Blue & Gold Macaw named Manta. If all goes well, I can bequeth her to my daughter.

I appreciate the info on the Dobies. Tempting, but Manta is a handful, jealous, and VERY protective. Besides, I don't have the room for one to run.

We'll all meet again someday.:grouphug:

Know what I saw last night..???

A Black 2007 H3x with roof marker lights.. He said they were on the truck when it was delivered to the dealer two weeks ago..

Now, I don't know how much water that REALLY holds..

The truck also had two red rear marker lights that he thought were part of the marker lamp package.. I've seen some of you guys improvise rear markers, but I didn't get the impression this guy had that kind of mechanical abilities... They were a pretty close match to the front markers and looked like they had been designed together and not as an afterthought..

That sounds pretty cool.
I'd love to see the pics of the two sets of marker lights.

Hopefully GM is getting their act in gear and design has developed an improved housing that doesn't leak, make wind noise or anything else that can make this item a pain in the rump.
