Hello, this is one of my only posts as I have simply been perusing this site for some months. One thing I have consistently seen is the repeated mention of bad dealers. I wanted to start a thread that would let would be Hummer owners know of the bad dealers across the nation without having to look in multiple place on this site. Please list the dealer and state. I had a bad experience at Cerritos Hummer in Cerritos, Ca.

can we also post good dealers, or just bad ones?

This isn't a bad idea, but yes there should be another thread on "Good" dealers as well. BUT! on both threads the opinion should be kept short with a brief reason why.

Hummer of Orlando: Just plan would not deal and gave a low trade-in value. = Bought elsewhere.

How about good and bad, Wright of Wexford PA, great sales staff, willing to deal, willing to do what ever needed to make a deal. Wright's service department.. willing to bring it in to fix it as often as you want, just never seem to be able to fix it on the first, second or third trip

Can you elaborate with a short reason re: Cerritos?
Yes, please elaborate....I'm confused since you did recommend Cerritos Hummer to me a few days ago. Is there someting I should look out for since I was planning to visit them next week?
Thank You.

Yes, I'm sorry about having two conflicting opinions. When I first recommended them, I was in the process of getting service from them and all had been going rather smoothly. My problem was this: I bought an 06 H3 (look at my signature ) and less than half an hour from the dealership, the control panel went out and the ABS began to lose their stopping power and I had to exit the freeway with little or no brakes. I called Cerritos. They in turn called a tow truck. After a short wait, the tow truck arrived and was about to tow my Hummer back to the dealership. Since my sunroof was back, I was afraid that it would sit out all night, so I attempted to put it back and tried my truck again. It started and so I started on home, dismissing the tow truck. I went for about 10 minutes and was forced to call for the driver again. As it was about 9 pm, the dealer was closed and I had the truck towed home. Since the next day was Sunday, I could only have it towed back to the dealer to await service as the service dept. was closed until Monday. They said it was an alternator and they were ordering the part. I expected expedited service, but was met with sluggish service. On Tuesday they called and said that it would be ready by Wednesday. Come Wednesday there was an update: I would have to wait another week for the part. I suggested using an alternator from another Hummer. They said they did not do that sort of thing. One would think that the dealership would want to make sure that they serviced the truck asap, seeing as it had died on the date of purchase. Finally they conceded, but only after many discussions. I hope that that clarifies my stand on Cerritos. Bad dealer for sure! Sorry for the faulty recommendation.

Woodfield Hummer in Schaumburg, IL: pretty satisfied with the sales services. The salesman was pretty cool and nagotiated.
I also had a problem about 15 min away from dealer (abs ecoder motor  or something like that) they fixed it the next day, so no problem that time.
I would NOT recomend their service department, very bad at diagnosing problems and bad at fixing them. If no code set in teh computer they cant fix it. Such as sunroof problem, and rattling problem and some other stuff. It seems that their favorite phrase is "could not duplicate the problem". They also suck sith transportation. Since im 18 they wont (cant) give me a rental, but they also refuse to drive me home which sucks. They shuttle only 10 miles away, i live 40 miles away, so i wither stay there all day or take the metra home.:D kinda sucks!

DUECK GM ON MARINE DRIVE, VANCOUVER <---------------BAD DEALER!!
They act like bullies because they know they are the only Hummer dealership here in B.C.
If I had a choice (or if I didn't badly want an H3), I would have gone somewhere else.
P.S. My salesman was a great guy though, I wish he'd move on to another dealership.

A note on Cerritos Hummer Service Dpt -- the head guy there, Mike Sabarese is outstanding -- just about the most informed Hummer mechanic on the planet.
HOWEVER, recently they've had MAJOR staffing issues, and Mike was swamped with troubleshooting and in many cases, hands-on repair. One person can only do so much.
I was informed by someone close to that operation, that major effort is being done to correct this issue. But my .02 is unless your problem's urgent, wait a bit and give them time to tidy up the house.
Personally, I'm not willing to risk worse nightmare from the many other (famously incompetent) SoCal dealers. As long as Mike continued to be the service boss at Cerritos, I'll continue to service my rig there.
Just not right now.. :D
