At around 65-75mph I often (50% of the time) get a vibration on the driver side window. It creates a buzz or humm that I can't even suppress by putting pressure on the window. Any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thanks.

It's the A pillar molding. Check the following post:

Thanks for the post, but I suspect the problem is different. Its not a popping sound, and it is coming from the door window, not the windshield. When I hear the sound, I touch the door window and can feel a high frequency vibration (much like a tuning fork). Anyway, I will take my 05 lux in tomorrow and mention the TSB.

Thanks again.

at 65 or 70 i can hear a vibration also, i thought my noise was the plastic sheild on the roof in front of the sunroof.

I thought that might be the culprit too, but in my case it is definitely the driver side window. But I don't know what is causing it - it couldn't be the wind deflector in front of the sunroof. I'll let you know if the dealer has a right answer.

Usually the a pillar moldings can cause a "buzzing or popping" noise from the windshield area, however I have seen on an 05 it causing the exact type of noise you are describing felt in the lf window. Anyway, it's under warranty, take it in.

I have the same problem on my 05, do report back please after your visit with dealer. I know it's not the sunroof deflector because I took mine off. My high pitch vibration can be felt if you put your fingers on the window while it is making the noise (humming) you can feel it.

I just took mine in today, and the window vibration was on the list...I'll see if they can fix it.

Hummertech- I wanted to "thank you" for your help on my h2. I was whinning about the headliner falling down , and you told me to turn the rubber gasket around. I did that and it worked great! I would never have thought of that. Thanks again.
P.S. Do you see many radios with all the paint falling off the knobs and number buttons. Mine are loosing all the color gray off from them and the light is shining through.

YES, I replace a couple radios a week for that.
just bring it in before your warranty is up and let them replace the radio for that. If you get it in early enough, they should be able to have the radio the next day.

Hummertech, good I'm glad its common and not just my radio. But i think my warranty is over its a 2003. I can just imagine it now, " Hello service tech, I need a knob job."

If it's one of your 2 knobs, you can replace those seperately, but if it's the actual buttons, you have to send the radio in. It's a common problem. If you're out of warranty, go to your dealer and ask them if they can goodwill it for you since it's a common issue. They have the power to do that, don't let them tell you that they don't.

The loud annoying vibration was certainly the lf window. The problem was an inadequate seal (door, weather stripping, body). The tech adjusted the door. So far this has mostly fixed the problem - I am not convinced that it is completely fixed.

Trainwreck,

Thanks for reporting back, I will have them look at mine on next oil change. Let us know after you have driven a few times if the repair was suitable and lasting.
