Question for those who are knowledgeable, Can you still utilize a GMID without using GMAC financing?

Contacted a dealer after finding the H3 I was interested in and following submitting the GMAC financing they call me back a day later to say that I haven't been approved. :lame: :lame: :lame:

Determined not to give up, So I plan to seek other alternative forms of financing, but now must I haggle for a good price or can I still get an approximate lowered price of 2% over invoice? Additionally, I also saw that some dealers are honoring a 1750 rebate on 2007 which this dealer is refusing.

Any suggestions and/or answers? Any help would be appreciated.

You can use GMID and finance with whoever you want...I am financing through my Credit Union...you can only get $750 of the $1750 rebate with GMID...I called Hummer and asked...but here's another $250 for 07 H3 with GMID...

Hey thanks for clearing that up for me and also making me aware of the additional bonus cash off. any little bit helps. Thanks again
You rock! :perfect10s:

Just curious, has anyone found or suspected that a dealer may have denied your application after being informed of your intent to use a GMID? I don't know the legalities of whether this is permissible or illegal? I'm not looking to sue or anything just want to know if I'm being screwed and should I seek another dealer.

Doubt it -- they still get a credit for the sale -- its either them or another dealer -- why would they want to give it up?

Again thanks to all of you. You probably have a valid point, HummerGuy .

But, because of little time and working a lot, I have primarily been dealing with dealerships via phone, internet and fax. While speaking with dealers, quite a few are gung ho about a sale. But, trying to be upfront after reading many forums on the subject, I tend to mention using a GMID during the initial discussion. Following this, there is a noticeable change in the dealer's tone.

But as you suggest it probably doesn't affect how hard they work for a sale .

couldnt you just finance with gm then pay it off with the new loan from your bank? That way you get the extra incentive?
