Thinking of buying

I am thinking of buying a mid 90's H1.. what are the do and don'ts of the H1. basically what am I getting myself into? My H3 is my dailey driver and this H1 would be for fun.

I just went through this whole process too, but didn't end up with a truck... :( Well, at least not yet. I got a lot of info from some of the guys here and on the Hummernetworkforums.com, so if you need info, you could PM and I could send you what I've researched/compiled.

I researched about a month before I found one. The flashoffroad link also has info on the Ebay spreadsheet that tracks all the H1's listed. It was a great source. If you can't find it there, I know there was a thread recently on hummernetworkforums.com. Definatley get the service records before you buy any used H1. So try to get the extended warranty if you can.

I'm thinking of buying one and making a trailer out of it. chunk the engine and drivetrain. build a box under the hood to have some weather resistant storage, remove the doghouse windshield, seats and all that mess and have a nice place to have a good off-road trailer that could be used for a bunch of different things.
