Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on a backup camera for a pioneer? Should I go with the pioneer camera or is there something better and cheaper or just better? Thanks

Im using the pioneer camera with the avic-z1 and i think its pretty good. there were some reports that when it gets humid, the camera would stop working and when it dries out it would start working again, but i have not experienced anything like that.

I havent had any other backup cmeras so cant say if is better or worse but in my opinion its very good, gets the job done. the lense is a nice a nice wide angle. im very satisfied with it.

hope this helps.

I also have the Pioneer and have had no problems with it not working in the rain or snow; and living in this rotten state, I know rain. We had rain for almost an entire week. Now, I'm seeing it work ok with snow:(

Just caught this thread. I found a deal on ND-BC1 cameras and bought out the store. I'm going to use one, but posted the rest on e-bay today, looks like the best value on there. Search ND-BC1 on e-bay if you want to get one.

Sorry for the shameless self promotion, I didn't even think of posting them here before I put them on e-bay.

If anyone from here wants one, mention elcova forums when you pay via paypal and deduct the $10 shipping.
