No experience with predator, but the dynatech's we've put on have been incredible! You can check into http://www.jet-hot.com about getting it coated. We've coated the one on Taz's and a couple more, and they turned out great and highly functional.

The Predator headers (actually they look like they're made by JBA - you may be able to get a better price directly from JBA) being shorties can be CARB'ed pretty easily. The Dynatechs, being long tubes with new mid-pipes and cats, would be next to impossible to CARB certify. You're replacing the cats on a new vehicle and possibly moving the position of the O2 sensors...both "no-no's" on a new smog equipped vehicle. So they've got no choice but to label them 'Race' or 'Off-Road Use Only' but all of the Lightning guys have replaced their exhausts with Dynatech/Kooks/Bassani headers and high-flow mids and cats and no one's had an issue 'smogging' their vehicle.

I highly recommend Dynatec with true dual pipes if allowed. I run Flowmaster super 40's for muffler. They are real deep. make sure the exhaust shop takes the tail pipe over axle and back into stock location for functionality if offroading. You can go with plain 40's or 50's and it will quiet the rig down allot. Dragon and i had My exhaust chrome Jet Hot coated from header all the way back to include the twin tail pipe.

You can run twin 2 1/2" pipes with mufflers turned on there side so the fit is good. Take the twin pipes together right over axle. They do fit but, if exhaust shop has trouble then have the duals run through a 3 or 4 inch tailpipe if You can. You just get more flow with the twin pipes over axle.

My peformance exhaust shop did it with no problem. I have heard some mention on site I think it was, that muffle people could not do it. It can if they want to do it. If they do not think they can run the twins over by asking when You pull up to shop then go find another shop. There is a difference between a muffler shop and a Performance exhaust shop. The second shop will by you telling them what you want and describe the sound You want they will be able to get an idea. If they are real good if You try what they put on and You do not like it they will pull it for you and change to different muffler. My shop hit what i wanted the first try and Me making weird noises trying to explain the sound. He said I know what You need just trust me and i did. Was super happy.
DYNATEC you pay a little more but, you get what you pay for plus the long neck tubes on the Dynatec will give more low end torque.
Go to Flowmaster website and I think they have sounds of each mufler to listen to to help You choose. My shop had sounds of differnet setups that i listened to but, they did better or did what hit the spot for Me.
