Is the truck, with the new mods, getting boring already?...;)

H3 Alpha looks set to be unveiled in January at one of the big auto shows. I believe it will have the 5.3L gasser? Hopefully, it will not be lowered like the 5.3L they showed at SEMA.

Who knows about the H2, but I wouldn't hold your breath for a diesel anytime soon.hmmm...... I wouldn't hold your breath for it to be in Detroit either.:shhh:

:D

It keeps getting worse. Tim used to go a good 2 to 3 months without the need for new Hummer. Now we're down to about a 2-3 week cycle.

If I were in Tim's shoes, I'd sell my truck everytime it broke. That would make ownership so easy for an H1 owner. :D Nah. I like my truck too much, if I were Tim I'd just buy a warrenty.

hmmm...... I wouldn't hold your breath for it to be in Detroit either.:shhh:I bet the JK has a diesel before the H2 does.

FWIW, I'd guess GM is holding out on an Alpha until the new design comes out.

I know it will not be the same as a Alpha but, I'm working with a major engine company for diesel engines. They get their hands on 0 mile diesel's as well 0 mile gas engines with tranny and without tranny. It is not useful to not have tranny and transfer case since We will have to go out and find tranny etc. It may help if We are doing a gas engine swap to just renew the old gas burner. The guy says it will almost be a drop in and i have asked He quote the price as a complete package. I have had him doing measurements and putting together all accessory equipment that will be needed to work with H2 that cannot be taken off H2 and used in conversion. It will reduce labor costs if I can get everything needed in the package so we do not have to go out and hunt it all down.

I plan on Dragon doing conversions if I can get engines at a reasonable price. I have told seller it will require a good price because it does take engine bay mods and Hummer is coming out with one. I have discussed with the owner that I want new or extremely low mile engine packages, if new is not available at the time. I'm just waiting after the first of year to get a high mileage H2 that I can buy for a good price to find out how long and what it takes to make the swap to come up with cost to do it for customers.

This all depends on if the guy will sell the engines for a price low enough that We could do the conversion cheaper than anyone out there and pass the savings on. There are many forum Buddies with H2's they love and do not want to part with. Many have put allot of work getting the H2's setup with gear that would be a pain to tranfer or to costly to buy the gear again to duplicate. I know many really do not want to spend the money for a high priced factory built edition. I have one 2003 that may be the first one. It has high miles on gas burner but, interior is great as well as paint. It is well taken care of and the guy has decided that he wants to get a Alpha H1 since they are not building them anymore. He may keep H2 after conversion but, I have offered to buy it. I also plan to improve as much of the H2 during engine swap based on how much the owner wants Us to do.

Basicly a menu of upgrades to pick from to go with engine swap.

I just got this info yesterday and have not been able to tell Dragon yet so it will be a shock and what, if You ask Him about it. I had planned to tell Him after New Year when I will have more info.

If anyone has any idea as to what You feel the price this could be done for and You would feel it worth doing and keeping Your H2 rather than spending money to be the higher priced H2 Alpha even if Hummer were to do the diesel.

They need an alpha bad, H2 and H3. I bet they are waiting for the JK and FJ buzz to die down, so they can release the alphas and get a little spot light time, knowing no one will come and steal the limelight. I dont think anyone else is planning to release a capable new 4x4 next year.

An H1 Alpha might tide me over until then.:D

I don't have the foggiest idea why, but the H1 Alpha has been putting out the siren's song to me lately.

It'd still be pewter.:clapping:

Such a nice truck. Too bad it's so expensive. Expensive to buy AND maintain.
