Hello all....I have the base H3 and am starting think about getting some new tires. What are the thoughts on the Goodyear Fortera TripleTred? I am not one to go off-road or hit trails. I use the H to commute more than anything else. What are your thoughts?
Thanks

Wait until the stock tires wear out and then upgrade. Those stock goodyears are excellent pavement tires. They do pretty well in snow too! If you're looking for a more aggresive look you can go with the Bridgestones they offer on the off road package.

I personally, use the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's and they rock. Especially off roadin. They do quite well off road and the road noise is minimal.

I had asked the dealer about going to larger tire, and they said it would cause all kinds of issues with Trans and other things due to the computer was not programmed for that. I would like to go bigger, but from that, didn't think I could.

I have the base model too and upgraded the size to the 33" (adventure package) from the base 32" tires. All is fine and have had no issues whatsoever. Others on this board have gone up to 35's with no mods to the computer to adjust the transmission. You'll be fine.

So you are no running 285/75-16s? With no issues? :-) Talk about making me happy for Xmas! Which ones do you have now?

Don't know what your dealer is talking about. There's a setting in the computer to adjust the speedometer between 32 and 33" tires. In fact, the 33" bridgestones are an optional upgrade on the base model (even w/o the adv pkg). Apart from the t-case, the drivetrain and axles are the same between the two.

I don't know what your dealer is thinking, just about everyone here runs a bigger tire. I would keep what you have until they done, then spend your money on a good set of tires of your choice, you will have plenty of time looking for them.
I use MT's Baja's and the road noise is minimal.
Good luck! :beerchug:

I got the Revo A/T's put on Monday night. Could not be happier. Was like a little kid last night waiting to drive to work today in the snow! They are awsome. Thanks for all the help!

I'm thinking Nitto Terra Grapplers, since most of my driving is on pavement with some light offroading and driving on snow in the Sierra's.

Anybody had experience using the Nitto TG's?

I am leaning tword the nitto terra as well. i had a few sets on H2's and loved them on that truck. Some peopel say they wear out too quick? Juat means more new ones quicker in my mind:beerchug:
