Cool Scouts Out..That would be it. Your rig must have been ordered with it thinking it was going to a two Plate State.

Post a pic when you get a chance and mabe one of the other H3 Drivers can certify it's it.

Thanks dude..??:beerchug:

All I have are the two plastic inserts in the bumper; no bracket... and an ugly black licence plate frame with the name of the dealership on it that will go away as soon as I find something I like to replace it.

We have the two plate requirement but I'm really not all that happy with the local dealership. Seeing how they operate, they'll likely get the part for free and charge me $200 delivery or something.

My wifes Audi doesn't even have front plate mounts/holes/etc...:beerchug: I just store them in my work bench in my garage, heck I even have them from a few vehicles I don't even own anymore;)

II've pulled over numerous vehicle for having no front plate but I've never ticketed someone for it. Usually if I pull someone for that, it's a quiet shift and I'm trying to make things happen. On a guess, I would say 10% of those without a front plate have something else which is more interesting to me... like an unlicenced driver, warrants, stolen licence plates, you name it.

It's not bad unless they've cranked it up in the past couple years. Like $25 USD. Like I said, I never bothered with the ticket, not because it was a cheap one, rather because it's so petty and I would run without a front plate, given a choice. It was just a good excuse to pull someone over... like a dead headlight or giving me the finger. ;)

I'm planning on putting a winch up there and there ain't gonna be no front plate. We have the law on the book, but it isn't enforced everywhere, except by State Troopers.

I agree that they mess up the look of a cool ride.

If you'll recall, the NJSP had a problem a few years back that was the source of the buzzword, "racial profiling". Apparently, there was a little known state law against driving while non-caucasian. As I remember it, the penalty in one landmark case was about 40 rounds. I think some things have changed under their new leadership, but they're still very strict when it comes to enforcing traffic laws. I don't mind that though...Have you ever driven in NJ? I live in Pennsylvania, but travel to NJ fairly often and I'm sure glad those guys are out there!
