I recently got a key blank, and I was just going to have the key cutting placing at our Wal-Mart cut me a copy of my H3 key. My German is horrible; however, the man told me to cut a normal key would be about 6 euros but to do this key it would be about 90 euros. The book he showed me had two key cutting prices. I know he was not trying to take advantage of me; however, I am not sure if he is correct in that the H3 key would require this special key cutting process or maybe he thought the key was something that it is not.

The stealership here wanted $50 American dollars and I laughed and said for what I just paid you for my H3 I should get at least two extra keys!! I understand all the BS about pricing at stealerships and overhead but some of this is outright gouging. It's a dumb key, no chip!

Ilco blank P1114 B110

Both those numbers are on mine. $1.50 each, cut.
Heck what's your price in US dollars?

Did you happen to watch them cut the key? Did they cut it like copying a standard house key, or was there some "magical" special process?

Did you get a spare fob programmed at the same time? I would like a spare of one of those as well, but I don't want to feel the pain of that cost.

Should be no magic, just a cut on both sides.

I misplaced my spare key. Sewell Hummer in Dallas cut me a new one at no cost. Got to love it!:clapping:

The GM Hummer key does list out for around $50.00 but I use a standard B110 ket blank (Canyon key) for 1/100 of the price.Curtis IIlico both have them.No issue cutting either.
