Has anyone replaced their heads with the GM Performance 6.2L LS7 style heads?

Apparently you can replace your intake and heads with these new heads and not only gain torque and HP but get a huge amount of flow.

Pretty cheap too. You can get setup for less than $1500.

heads are GM part # 12582713

wouldnt you get better numbers porting and polishing your heads? people with superchargers (especialy bigger pullys) TBs, headers and so on will get massive HP and TQ improvements

L92 heads are flowing as much, if not more than, the ported CNC LS1/6 heads. Numbers I've seen for stock heads is 330+ cfm at .600 lift and these numbers are as-cast. Some cleanup wok on the ports and bowls and people are expecting 360+ cfm.

holly **** thoes heads are only $1000 and for $500 bucks more you get a 90mmTB and fuel rails. this pricing along with humdingahs flow numbers. this is a great choice. i never knew GM motors were so cheep to modify. i have been spending all my cash on my AMG E55 were a 80mm TB is $4000 bucks by its self.

Timyes that is ideal the more mods you have the more the heads need to be changed. id also get that 90mm TB. i assume you have long tube headers? if not youll need that also.

Current S/C won't work as the intake ports are significantly different. You'd have to possibly combine an L92 S/C intake (possibly from a kit for the 6.2L 'Slades but I haven't seen that they've released one yet) with the current S/C. Exhaust ports are a different shape too...

It'll be the same intake as used in the new 6.2 L Escalade blower kits...and I've been checking their site periodically and haven't seen one announced yet.

right, teh intake and exhaust ports are completely different than the current lq9 heads. If you swap heads, your gonna need the l92 manifolds and intake, which are very cheap as well.

those heads are gonna be huge, out flowing aftermarket ported heads for more than half the money.
