Driving out of town last Friday, my airbag dash light comes on for about 5 seconds, goes off for about 20 seconds, comes on, off about 5-4 times. Then stays off for 5-10 minutes, then repeats. This cycle happened 4-5 times.
I called Onstar. They do a diagnostic and see nothing wrong. I ask if there are any error codes set in the H3's brain. Onstar woman didn't understand the question. I was transferred to Hummer Cust Serv. But they can't get a data connection to the vehicle like Onstar can.
I call Onstar back to get a rep who understands my question about error codes. She's better. She runs the diagnostic again. No problems reported. She said they would only get a code if the light were on. (Hmm really? It doesn't get stored for at least a few minutes?) The two times the diagnostic was run, the light was off.
I did a search here and read a few things about the error codes that can be set when the airbag goes off, or should have gone off but didn't. But not much else. I will check the connection under the seat (that was suggested in one of the threads. See I DO read :)).
But does that make sense, that no error code would be stored?
Thanks for your help.
