"zainoed" is a term used by those intelligent enough to use Zaino on their vehicles. Corvette owners actually throw Zaino Parties (been to quite a few). It is by not doubt, the best polish to use, easiest to apply and remove than any I have ever used. There is no white powder sh*t on the rag. It is actually removed while still a creamy liquid.
You can do vehicles in direct sunlight on a 90 degree day (did my white Corvette, and black heep all the time in TN). Needs to be applied on a warm vehicle....NOT a hot vehicle. Sunlight actualy helps it cure faster.

One other fact about Zaino is that the more coats the car has, the better it looks, and the less Zaino you apply the better it looks. Unfortunately, I have never heard of anyone being successful with any kind of power application. Also, the stuff lasts forever and has no silicone. Zaino ROCKS!! It makes dark paint look wet. You ought to see a black Vette with six coats!:beerchug:
I'm kind of surprised there aren't more Zaino addicts on the forum, especially among the "bling crowd",:dancingbana

so- if I wanted to purchase some zanio products- what would I buy? Just go for their kit that's like $115?

No, start out with Z2, unless you have a lot of swirl marks. You also need the ZFX to cure the polish. I have never tried the Z5 (swirl remover since I have never had any swirls to remove in my cars).
As for a clay bar, it is priced about the same as any clay bar, so if you want to clay bar the vehicle, it would be a good purchase.
Two ounces of mixed Z2 with the ZFX will do one coat on an H3. Remember to apply sparingly. You can put on a second coat right away, but a third coat should be after about a 24 hour period.
Nice thing about Zaino is it has NO abbrasives, so unlike other polishes or waxes, it will not remove the previous coat, and this allows the extra coats to actually deepen the gloss on the vehicle.

The husband was watching my friend zaino the H3. :p I was MIA. It took him at least a total of 10 hours of detailing. We paid him to get it detailed. He does detailing part time. He orders his Zaino product from the distributor down in LA.
He told me that everytime I wash the car - it should shine a lot better. And Zaino keeps the dirt from getting into the paint.

I'm the friend that did the H3 ;) Its dirty again, so waiting for her husband to wash it so we can get some good daytime pics, those ones just don't do it justice.
Two ounces is wayyy too much product for 1 coat. I can do a full coat with about 3/4 ounce, but then again i'm very practiced at it. ;) Also, with ZFX, you need to wait 30 min between coats, regardless, and only 3 coats in a 24 hr period.

Actually, it was just for the 1st wash after the detail it would get brighter.
I'm glad you are happy with it Elma! And thanks for linking me here. Anyone within ~80 miles of the Bay Area, CA can have the same service :)

Are you doing the roof too, inside the doors, upper rockers; in other words, all the painted surfaces? As for time. If you start at the front and finish at the rear, by the time you finish, the 30 minutes as passed for the front. Or at least that has been my experience putting about twelve coats on the Hummer over the past year and a half.

Any of you first timers, be sure to claybar first. You will be stunned at how slick and shiny your paint is after claybarring, then polishing with Zaino. It's a stunning effect. The darker your paint, the more you'll appreciate the mirror effect and the complete absence of swirl. Zaino's well WELL worth the price. Git some!

I'm thinking it's time for you to move a lot closer to MI:giggling:
I actually ordered the entire kit. Now if it weren't 9 freaking degrees I'd be outside playing.

Good point thou, those college kids and retires dont seem like they're the best drivers or that they give a crap. During summer time I just park it and them make everyone walk, no one seems to mind a few blocks. But during the winter months its a lil hard to make the girls walk so I either give into the valet (rarely) or, like you, drop them off and look for parking. You must live close to the loop if you can go back and get a cab, unfortunately if i do that, i'll be back at least an hour later.

I was on the corvette boards for a couple years and everyone loves the stuff. I never tried it.
So what the hey, I just bought the stuff and it should be here in a few days... then wait for warmer weather so the water does not freeze when washing. It should look great on a black h3.
