Just a note of thanks to all of you who respnded to my question about leasing. I posted the same question on another forum and had 33 views and 1 reply. Guess I know where I'll be spending my time once I take delivery of my new H3.

Seems like a great place to hang out here... much like my old home on Z06vette.com where I was a moderator for several years. :beerchug:

Looking forward to becoming an active member here... thanks again for the warm welcome.

Good luck with your purchase -- just know that you'll have to post pics w/in 24 hours of signing or succumb to the wrath of the board.. :beerchug:

Consider it done... already have tires/wheels ready to go on whenever I pick it up. I'll post pics as soon as I get them on and get the torsion bars raised to level her out. :excited:

No problem... I truly appreciate the friendliness here man. To answer your question, I am getting white/lt cashmere, lux package, airbags (for my 2 year old :) ), sunroof, auto tranny, XM, and adventure package too. I haven't decided on the rocker protectors or nerf bars yet. I would like to skip the nerf bars all together and just go with the rocker protector, but I gotta have 'em for my little girl.

I'm also going with an aftermarket brush guard (black but undecided on brand), 33x12.50 Toyo Open Country MT's on black Moto Metal 951's, and maybe an aftermarket exhaust if there are some that don't sound like fart cans. That's about it I guess... until mod fever returns that is. :p

I'll get pics posted as soon as I get it home. Until then, cheers! :beerchug:

Sounds like a saweeet ride. Ya i got the roof rail airbags as well for my owne safety i wanted them and my parents wanted me to get them so i got em! As for the side bars, i took the assist steps becuase i found it much more practical to have them and also i would have the need for those more than the rocker panel protectors. As for deciding on that you should pull out the pros and cons of both and figure out which one you would need more and let me tell you it is actually really hard to get into that car without the assist steps.

I'll probably go that route too... for my passengers sake. heheh

I'm 6'6" so entry and exit aren't much of an issue for me. My 3'3" two year old and 5'6" wife is another story. :giggling:

And thanks for the compliment too 'bro...

They're pricey -- but they do make power steps for the H3 that look like a rocker (wouldn't provide the same protection, though) then drop down when one of the doors is opened.

Welcome!

But don't worry. I'm sure in the future, you'll ask a question that will be ignored :giggling:

Get the rock rails and the bolt-on U-steps. You'll have the protection plus steps for your passengers, and it takes just a couple minutes to remove them for the trail.

Yup... seen those before. Pretty cool, but I'm gonna go with something simpler since this is a lease I'll walk away from at the end. Thanks for the suggestion though. :beerchug:

LOL... touche' :p

I shouldn't have phrased my remarks the way I did earlier. I ruffled some feathers on the other board after one of their mods saw my post here. I was just stating a fact that I got several quick and friendly replies here and had had quite a few views on that board with only 1 reply at that time to my question. The comment about " I guess I know where I'll be spending my time" didn't sit well. I apologised sincerely and hope there is no hard feelings. There is good info and good people over there too I think. Anyway... I'm looking forward to taking delivery next week. Hope everyone here has a good night and a great weekend!

That's what I was thinking Sewie... I need to see some pics of that setup to decide. You think the steps look ok?
