A while Back I posted about my Rig being cock-eyed and tilting to one side... http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23444

Anyway.Went to the Dealer yesterday for the install of the Amber Roof Marker Lamps. They did a Great job and used the New fix kit. My marker lamps look cool and no noise.

While their..I had them check and measure my Tilt problem. They confirmed that dat's-a no good. They put the rig on the alignment machine and set her up straight. Anyway..for you cock-eyed HUMMER owners here's what they put on the final work sheet there sending to the General for a Warranty claim.

" Trim Height Out Of Adjustment. Verified Customer Concern.Measured Trim Height Per "Bulletin 1764955". Adjusted Trim Height to within .2 of 6.0 setting for Front and within .47 of 6.7 settingfor the rear.Reinspected and sitting level."

Hope this helps anyone who is Cock-Eyed.

Maybe F5 can pull the bulletin and post it here to add to this.

VNV,

Are those "new" marker lights (without the wind noise problem)? Or is it just a "fix" for the same marker lights?

Not sure.. the Dealer said that this number is the new deal as he checked with HUMMER, but you need the fix kit with it. On the other hand..I was told by HUMMER Customer Assistance in the beginning of Jan that there is a new self contained unit coming out. That was to be by the end of this month. Who knows if that is true..???

I checked with them last week and they had no other info. The fix kit is about $13.00. I figure this way..... I'm tired of waiting for the so called new unit ..so I put this one on and I'm happy. It looks great ..It's quite ..no Noise... so...why wait..??

The Prices I doug up are..... List Price Dealer $535.00 And Jober Price $454.00. I paid a few more bucks then $454.00 thru the dealer. Plus add the $13.00 for the fix kit.Plus I paid 1 Hour Install at $90.00....about right for Dealer Labor.

Roof Marker Lamp Assem... Part # 19170450 Fix Kit # 19166037

Hope this helps..:clapping:

No Prob Steve.. Shop around also between dealers for price. Also.. Give HUMMER customer assistance a call and run a check to see if in fact they have a new unit and or a part no.
