I'm not some bleeding heart, but I assume once a kid is held captured, tormented, etc by an adult for a while, he or she loses his or her will to resist and think independently. It happened to Hearst when she was an adult. And remember the Manchurian Candidate?

Isn't there a name for that syndrome where the captives eventually embrace or protect their captors like in a long drawn out bank/hostage robberies?

I agree 100% to this.
I mean, just look at all of the people that drive Fords and Chryslers.

Really a sad thing for any kid to go through. They should immediately kill his captor. You dont need no fuc%ing trial for this guy.
