Bought one of them GM autherized Black Material Tire Covers with the HUMMER H3 Logo on the back which is also reflective. It has a Blue colored elastic cord in gather area. I have the 33" "285" Spare Tire.

I was told it would fit either one. The first one I tried was a real pain to stretch around and over the tire. It end up only going on about 3/4 of the way as I was afraid I'd rip it. So I called the MFG and they were very nice and said thay would check to make sure that the new one they would send me would fit. He said...Don't be a fraid to pull on it to get it on ..you won't rip it.

Well..got the new one and tried again to get that sucker on. It goes on after yanking and pulling but there are wrinkles in the front area and I can't get the sucker to slide back due to the fact that the material on the underside is a soft cotton fiber-ish material that just LOVES TO STICK TO THE FRICKEN TIRE...!!!!!

What's your experience with these PINA tire covers. Is yours a Aftermarket crappy one or a good one like I have..

Or...WTF am I doing wrong.... Wait.....I Know....I Need a Line of Crack before I put it on right...???

What a PINA..!!! :(

Don't most of the tire covers spec a different one for the 32" vs. 33" tires?

The Rig lives outside...(A Real Mans Rig) ....It was 20* out and the cover was inside at 71* all night. It still is a PITA. :lame:

The Cover is The GM Autherized cover. It's designed to fit both size tires.

Any way..a buddy of mine stopped by and we stretched and beat the crap out of the cover to get it on. It's on there now F ..It..!!

(Note To Self)...Smoke a Joint before Removal and installation of tire cover.:OWNED:

After a month, it will stretch out. My 33" Bestop cover was a bitch the first time, but got better after it was stretched on the tire for a while.

I had the same problem and went back they gave the wrong size (so there are two sizes) second one fit like a charm but does happen to come off in the car wash every once and a while.

Yeah... What's up with that. If I was designing a cover..it would be Vynal lined and would have pull cords and or Vel-Cro to pull it tight together. That Felt gack on the underside just grabs the tire.. and you have to fight the elastic cord to get it on.

Stupid..:twak:

This one is designed to fit both size tires, an it's an autherized GM Design. Even has the "GM" Label. But ..I woulld assume it will slip on the smaller H3 tire easier.

Best way I found to install the Bestop was to pull it completely over the top of the tire, then work it downward with the fingers. Why no draw cord? The majority never liked the drawcords on older style covers, because they would come loose over a period of time. Let's face it, how often will you remove the cover, if you don't do a lot of off-roading? Most will put it on, and forget about it until they trade in the vehicle.

Does your rig have the 33" Tires..??

You Know.. I did try it that way.. I put it on at the top and tried to work it around. When I got near the bottom... it just wouldn't go any more ..!! I mean it just locked up. That dam felt type material grabs like hell on the rubber tire.

It's on now... so screw it. Come April I'm headen out to Paragon Park for the HUMMER Thang to chunk some mud.. I'll take it off before I go. Then When I come back , I'll put on the new Gay Hard Cover I Got. If I don't like what it looks like I'll sell it to a Jeep owner...:clapping:

Thanks Big Z... Might work well on the 30" tire but on the 33''s it's still a PITA... Tried it before...she's a no go over the tire easy..

I guess that it would be a "no go" if you have anything larger than a 33" then? But then again those that have 35"+ aren't the type to need tire covers! :beerchug:

Try putting the cover in the dryer for a few minutes. I have a cover that fit over the stock 35" spare, but wouldn't quite cooperate when getting put on the 37" MTR spare. I just laid it in the sun for a while and it became nice & pliable and went right on.
