I know someone who knows someone who is related to someone at a supplier for GM. The are ABSOLUTELY SURE the new H3T, with a 5.3L V8 will be released in July of 2007 as an '08 model.

You need to send this up the chain of command:
SPEED UP YOUR F*CKING DEVELOPMENT CYCLE!!!! THE JAPS ARE LEAVING YOU IN THE DUST!!!! By the time GM finally gets around to introducing a vehicle it's almost irrelevant because the public is already putting another soon-to-be released vehicle on their shopping list.

:iagree:

The H3, IMHO, was the most cutting edge SUVs released by an American company in years. I hope the trend wasn't just a stroke of luck instead of genius... :shhh:

In the past week I have test drove the Ford, GMC, Tundra and the new Dodge Mega cab.

Didn't like the Ford
The new GMC was nice, rear fold down seat was good.
Dodge Mega was sweet if you like room.
Tundra was surprisingly very good, never was much of a Toy fan.

But if someone said buy one right now. I would go with the Dodge Mega Cab.

The H3 was two years late from when dealers were told it would come out and so the delay in all hummer poducts is expected. i wish they would pay AM General to build something they are faster to market.

Actually, we were about 3 months ahead of schedule. The plant launched the H3 in less than a week. We pushed the suppliers to the brink of constantly running out of parts. The HHR was suppost to launch at the same time, but was quite a bit behind. What dealers hear is usually a bit off.

Um i read it on the Hummer site. If you go down to Hummer news. Then the H3T article, then at the bottom of that in specs, it says AWD. Am I misreading something. There was also another article that said that the 3T would be the first AWD hummer. Am I wrong?

yep it does say that its an AWD but that info is for the H3T Concept. They probably decided to change it for the production model.

i just grabed this from sewie's link

Difference to full time symmetric 4WD is that a "4-low" setting is not available in AWD cars. Due to the lack of "low range" AWD vehicles are less capable in off-road settings than full time 4WD vehicles, but work perfectly well in easy off-road environments and on-road.

Recently some new "automatic" AWD (http://www.4x4abc.com/4WD101/abc7.html) systems have emerged. Fancy names like "Real Time 4WD" or "active AWD" are hiding the fact that they are essentially sophisticated 2WD systems. Automatic asymmetric AWD would be the best term for them.

AWD = :OWNED: :p ;)

That concept is not the one being put into production anyway.

The damn thing needs to come out sooner! Though I suppose the H3T will come out with the H4 on it's heels, much like the current GM blitz for Saturn.
