Hello, My name is Hale. I live in Fort Lauderdale. This is my second H2...First was a 2003 this is a 2007, both Adventure Series. With the exception of the wheels, they look the same. I opted to remove my rear spare tire carrier from the rear ( I like the look better). I chose not to use the tag relocator kit and instead bought a 2003 tag holder for the rear door, replaced the existing blank pocket and wired the lights into the cab lights on the rear hatch...took all of about an hour and about $300.00 in parts...dealer wanted to charge $900.00.

I chose to black out as much as I could on the truck, except the wheels of course, although the chrome accessories look nice on most trucks I like all black, I just have to figure out how to black out the mirror backside. Any ideas...let me know!!!

Anyway here are a few pics and if anyone knows of any hummer events in South Florida please email me to let me know....

Welcome and nice! Looks a little like mine. Let me know if you do anything to the mirrors, I have some things I'm going to see about to de-chrome them.

Nice looking truck! Do you take it off road?:clapping:

For blacking out the mirrors (and H2 emblems), mask them thoroughly after lightly sanding. Then just use a flat black. I used DupliColor Spray On Bedliner because it has a textured surface.

Thanks for the compliments...

Tint is 20%.
Not selling the tire rack.
I took the brush guards off because I didn't like the way they looked.
I have only had it a week...haven't been off road...YET.
Not sure what the drop is on the receiver.
I do plan on getting rid of the chrome on the mirror...don't want to spray paint it though.

I do plan on getting rid of the chrome on the mirror...don't want to spray paint it though. The bed liner works great.

Or you can pop off the chrome part and take it to Line-X and they can charge you some bucks to do the samething.

Spray paint and line-x is too ghetto! I was thinking something more like stripping the chrome off it, then powder coating it black. Like what I plan to do to the fuel door. Unless that part on the mirrors is actually plastic... then I'll just ask the powder coaters what they suggest.

It is plastic.

On the '07s?! Doesn't feel like plastic. Well, you can always have a new set made on a CNC, then powder coat it.

looks so so clean just like mine...i also often times remove the spare tire rack in the rear coz i like the look...only problem is that there's no lite for my rear license plate during the night...does the blank rear license plate holder easy to come out..did you have to modify anything to match the 2003 rear plate holder?...can you take a closer pics of your rear...ALOHA and MAHALO..

When I took the rear inside cover off, all wires are exposed for rear cab lights (which are on when lights are one) I just spliced into them and ran the wires down to the license plate holder I bought from hummer. Looks better than the relocator in my opinion. Took all of about 20 minutes...Hummer wanted 900.00

As for the wheels I ahve seen a few with them abd it just looks too small for me...i like the chrome look better for the wheels only.

Let me know if anyoen comes up with a good fix for blacking out the mirrors.

ALOHA and MAHALO for the response...i just took off my rear tire carrier again...maybe i will also do what you did with the rear license plate...and yes i do agree that the rear looks better without the tire carrier..i will post a pic of mine without the tire carrier later...
