I'm black and I carry a big knife. No problems with the hate thing. When they see me they think twice if you know what I mean.

I was in Durango last SUmmer for a couple of days on business. I got the bird a couple of times and some punk kid yelling something out the window at me. Other than that, no issues. Be aware though.
I think Juice lives in Durango.

To solve this problem go print out that article under the H2 Forums about how the Hybrid Prius is doing worse to the environment than a Hummer post that on your windows and see what people have to say then. Could work ya never know! But how and why is it that there is like clusters of hummer haters and then in some areas there are like none?!?!?!?

Not seeing the hate, but then I have an H3 and don't live in a redneck state:D .
I've herd stories of yokels near there doing an annual car bowling with vw's and trash cans on the main street of their small town:clapping:

I am from NJ and have not seen any haters yet. And mine is yellow so it not like they don't know it a Hummer. Guess the people who do say stuff have too much time of their hands. I would not go out of my way to say I love your hybird or hate your Hummer.
I've seen tons of hummer haters. Especially my wanna be biker neighbor. I smile and wave. Just 'cause I know it bugs the hell outta him:giggling:

You haven't seen any Hummer haters because they see yellow and think it's the short bus going by.:giggling:

I was very suprised to find one of my co-workers to be a Hummer hater. I just happened to have this forum up on one of my PCs and my co-worker walked into my office, while I was out, and noticed it. When I got back the first thing out of his mouth was, "Don't tell me you like those Hummers. People who drive those are a-holes". I wanted to see what else he would say so I didn't tell him I already had one. I asked why he thought that way but he didn't seem to have a real good reason. Just kept saying that Hummer owners were a-holes and would really lose respect for me if I were to get one
Come to find out that he drives a Jeep and has 3 of them. One is a Wrangler that he boasts can get through anything. Can't wait to see what he says when he finally sees the H3 :twak:

I'm sure that kept you up at night!:crying:
I had one guy in Corvallis yelling at us. Funny thing was, he was driving a POS land yacht. Perhaps it was because we had Cal plates. I'd really like to have a word with him. They don't want to talk though, they want to preach. Just like the Pious owners that support the country that's doing this: http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin Nice huh? How 'bout that new Tundra that gets less than mpg than a Silverado/Sierra. Oh yeah, the hate's gonna get 'em. The best thing to do is smile and wave.

In the year and a half that I have had my H3, I don't recall a single time when anybody has given me any flack for driving a hummer. They have given me flack for other things though!
The only time I have heard any crap about hummers - other than from people who are jealous because maybe they can't have one for what ever reason - was this one time out on the East Cape, like 30 miles outside of town, nasty washboard road the whole way. We were out surfing and this guy in the line-up had seen me drive in onto the beach and paddle out. He said, "At least you use your hummer for what it was intended."
I guess there must be alot of hummer owners that don't take them off road too often.

We do have those PETA people posting billboards that say "Fishing the Cruelest From of Hunting"..what a joke!

That may be the perception but I've seen plenty of blingy jacked up mudder shod neckmobiles that have never seen anything more than the curb on the front yard to be washed too. You should've asked him what "at least" refered to? Ask him "so friggin what if I put low profiles on it for cruisin'?" If he bought it for you, maybe he could "at least" you like a scolding parent. The point is, he didn't.

Carry a disposable camera in the glove box. If someone flips you off or tries to start any other crap be blatant about taking their picture, it'll nip problems in the bud.
