Found info for h2 but not for h3. Would be nice to light the night on the back roads.

I haven't looked on the H3 yet but on my Jeep I was able to put a thin piece of plastic (about the thickness of a credit card) in between the contacts on the relay. That allowed me to have high beams and driving lights on all at the same time.
It's great for mountain roads and off road driving at night.

i havent really checked out how they are hooked up, but from what you say, why not bypass teh relay all together, or put it on a switch or something (if its the same in teh H3, probably is).

Either way no worries. I don't know what the relay looks like in the H3. It may not be a simple as the Jeep.
The fix on the Jeep took less than a minute to install. Pulled the relay and removed the plastic cover and put in the piece of plastic between the contacts and plugged it back in.

Without the manual to check...I would say ..How much current is available from the alternator when both are on. Might not be a good idea to light both without knowing how much current your pulling from the alternator.
Also..keep in mind that on a rainy cold night when the heater and wipers are going and summer time your A/C comp clutch is locked on and your running fuel injectors and other stuff ..you are pulling mondo bits of current.
Remember.. The battery only starts your Rig...the alternator is what supplies 95 % of the Voltage and current to run everything. The other 5% is used to trickel charge the battery while your drive.
Fog's & Highs.......Could be a Recipe for a Smoken Hot Alternator.....Or..some red hotskie wiring.!!
So...yah gotta wonder why the engineers chose not to light the fog's and High's at the same time.
Sounds like and F5 Question.....http://www.geocities.com/daulquad/pup.gif:popcorn:
