Any of you guys know about "Direct Buy"? (www.directbuy.com (http://www.directbuy.com)).
I've heard of it before, but I don't know if this is legit or not.

I have seen a couple of things like this before and they seem legit. There is a Sears wholesale shop just down from the house here and you get great prices on appliances and stuff. Also, they sell goods at a low price because of a small ding somewhere on it.

I drive by one in the SF Bay Area all the time, never knew what it was, but I do know they have been there for quite sometime. If you shop/buy a lot, it might be worth it depending on how much it is to join up. Like costco, it is only a good deal if you actually need to buy pop-tarts by the case.;)

Its legit and not a scam
BUT
if you live in or near any big American (USA) city you can find excellent prices on most anything you want if you just do your research.
Costco is an excellent source and membership is cheap. According to info I have seen their maximum markup is 14%. Now that doesn't mean that they are ALWAYS lower then sales by WalMart, Sears, Target, K-Mart etc.
You always have to compare prices from a minimum of 3 supplies before you but big ticket items. I was a buyer for over 35 years. Didn't you compare prices BEFORE you bought your HUMMER ???
I have a friend that's a member and like it. I'm not.

I'm WAY too impatient to do that. Oh, and when I bought my Hummer it was back when you had to take a number at the dealership and pay whatever $$ they wanted to sell it for. :)
