How come you got a nav unit and a head unit? Didn't the Nav have radio and all that stuff?
Only reason I ask is cause I'm debating whether to put in another head unit where onstar was like you or a dvd player, I already have the onstar moved custom where the pedals are to the rigth of your legs... </div></BLOCKQUOTE>The NAV unit is seperate from the head unit...stand alone. That's how alpine does it. The NAV is independent and it gives my system more flexability that way. If you want something that's all in one unit then you may want to go with Pioneer or Eclipse. My NAV and video can all be viewed and controlled while still driving.

I was thinking of going with a 2tone paint job on the outside (dark blue on the bottom half) and painting the dash to match.

The grills for the door speakers were kinda tricky but it came out nice. The amp rack and sub box was built by Gary at Paradyme car audio. I still have to finish the dynamat in the rear cargo area. I did the dynamat in the doors and it made a huge difference...killed a lot of road noise but that 10" subwoofer hits real hard and clean but it rattles the rear cargo area a bit. I plan on finishing the dynamat this week sometime.

Thanks, if you paint the dash, paint it all. Most I see only do the center and then the outside 2 AC vents. It just doesn't have the same effect.
I was gonna tell you to paint them, but when I saw you had a pewter one I decided not to cause the stock color of those look pretty close to the pewter color.
I like your idea though, the blue.
Also, they have steering wheel caps so your wheel will look like mine but be painted your color. Should get that too. I don't remember if mine is custom or just uses one of those replacement caps. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>Yeah, I also thought about the full wood dash trim panels and steering wheel...not that stick on crap.

The very rear speakers in the cargo area, I didn't replace those but I may put the 4" type X alpine in there also just for good measure.

Did you use a Metra VT-GMOS-04 General Motors Class II data bus interface? The question I have is, this interface is supposed to allow you to use your Bose system, can you use the interface if you change out speakers?

I didn't use any of the bose amps or speakers. There are different interefaces that allow you to do different things...like keeping the bose amps with your aftermarket radio.
