Who can make or sell something like this?

I would like a low profile, sturdy, muti purpose bumper.

Does anyone have other pics of this rig?

Looks like the tire is on a swing arm...not on the back door

I've been looking at bumpers for a little while and have had limited luck finding many for the back. The company that made that bumper http://www.smahummer.com/ is undergoing restructuring from what the website describes. That page hasn't changed in a few months :lame:, and their front brushguard which some folks have on this board is no longer available.

There is also the company mentioned here:
http://www.elcovaforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24709&highlight=bumper
but they don't show a picture of a rear bumper for the H3 and I haven't called to see if they make one.

Also shown in this forum is the H2O rear bumper sold here:http://www.trailduty.com/product_info.php?cPath=112_119_132&products_id=377 Most elcova members know who owns that rig. :beerchug:

However, the SMA H3 appears to have a winch in the back, something I haven't seen elsewhere.

(I apologize for this being my first post, as I've visited the boards regularly for the past few months. I'm buying an H3 sometime soon, but I am waiting around to see if I can grasp what's going on with the 2008.)

Someone posted a link to ebay for a bumper similar to that (without the winch) that they were making and selling.. It wasn't much of a looker, just black and square (like those old bumpers dealers USED to put on P/U's for free), but it looked like it would give better departure angles as well as being tough enough to take a little dragging..

Rob, that's what I want. The greater departure angle would be great.

If anyone has a pic of the one from E-bay, post it up.

The swingarm carrier is what I want to go with. I want the rear tire off center and having room for 2 J cans and HL Jack on the side. Also, with the incresed departure angle, It would be great to have the spare a little higher up too.

I agree. I definately want the weight off my rear door, and always have preferred the swing out tire carrier. Off set looks great too. :beerchug:

Although it looks like it sticks out far enough it may actually cut into your departure angles...

...and no swing out tire mount and off set spare.
They dont make one like we want. I have looked everywhere. There is a shop by my house here that said the could take one for another vehicle and mod it to fit ours, but thats the only option we have outside of a total custom job. :beerchug:
