Ethanol Hoax...Told Ya so!

Nice article on what I've been sayin all along...Ethanol is no cleaner burning than gasoline and although it may very slightly lower the production of Carbon Monoxide it raises the level of Hydrocarbons, another bogus claim by the Suzuki clan of environmentalists. They are pulling the wool over our eyes and dumb dumb us were paying for it all over the place...this global warming wouldn't have anything to do with the sun being closer to the earth over the last 7 years would it?

Although I may agree with the study, my state is a ethanol state we have lots of corn so take your article here and slowly walk away, just walk away......I don't want any trouble.;) :D

Corn production is already increasing to meet the demand of ethanol plants, the problem is that the type of sweet corn with the best sugar content for fermentation usually requires irrigation and just about every aquifer in the country is already threatened.

Not to mention the impact of increased competition on the food supply as more ethanol plants come online. We're already seeing increases in the price of milk related to rising feed cost. Next up will be soft drinks and just about everything else using corn syrup.

Sugar beets are a much better source but the subsidy money isn't there for those so everyone is planting corn.

I keep telling everyone flex fueled gas/electric turbines are the way to go but once the political machine makes up it's mind, that's it.

I thing the only benefit to using ethanol would be to reduce our foriegn dependancy on oil. I would use it just to stick it to the OPEC man!

Nothing new, and nothing will change until we get a government (in the USA) that has the balls to remove the farm subsidies on the production of corn, drop the penelty for importation of ethanal from Brazil.
These farm subsidies are ridiculous, and should be stopped immediately.

Before long you will start hearing the UN scream about the lack of grain coming from the US to feed other countries, and the reason will be all our resources are going to corn production for fuel.

Ethanol for the gas engines, and bio-diesel for the oil burners. Screw OPEC!
