If you have Toyo M/T's go look at them. Mine have about 35K on them and they began cracking (dry rot) on the surface between the treads. My local shop is swapping them out but Toyo apparently gave them fits about doing it. These tires are rarely used....errrrrr....never used off road and there is no excuse for this to happen. Nobody at Toyo is stepping up to the plate to say wheather there is a 'known issue" but I find it hard to believe that mine are the only ones doing this. Anyone else?

How old are the tires, in years not miles? My guess is 3-4 years. There is no such thing as "dry rot" what you are experiencing is UV damage. Usually this will show up when tires are a few years old. It looks to me like your dealer went above and beyond for you.

i tend to agree....having spent many years in the rubber roofing business prior to being in real estate.....what you are seeing definately looks like UV damage that we used to see in the rubber membrane on the roof. Is the damage around the entire circumference of the tire?

I had some MT BFG's siped and it seemed to help in the rain on asphalt of cement roads.
Does it help on the Toyos?
