Are you sure its not the alt. or something else. I got the H.I.D.s' too and no problems. Perhaps if you push the Onstar button and ask the Onstar reps to do a vehicle diagnostics on the spot for you maybe they can find the problem. Just a sugestion. I hope you find out the problem. Good Luck!

Don't go blaming it on the HIDs right away. It could be the HIDs due to the design or the installation. Granted, startup voltage is high, but that still should not kill a battery.
Batteries can go bad, just because they are man made, thus you can get a bad battery from the factory.
I would suggest having it checked for a bad cell.

My battery went dead after 6 weeks. Took it in and they said it had a bad cell.
Hopefully not a trend, batteries seem to be so good these days that I don't even carry jumper cables any more.
I guess that's part of what Onstar is for.

If you live in a southern state, where it is hot most of the time, battery life is greatly reduced. Heat, not cold kills batteries. I say kill, not discharge.
In the cold a battery may go dead, but in the heat a battery's cell may go bad.
All, and I mean all, battery manufacturers (other than gel types), have greater warranty in the hot states.
When my battery goes dead, it will be replaced with an Optima Gel.

I had to replace three batteries this summer and I would bet it was due to the heat.
I used to have an Optima Gel and it was the best battery I have ever owned.

I never thought I would hope for a bad battery.
