I towed our camping tralier up to the mountains in NC and the transmission and engine gauge both ran just over the 210 degree mark on the gauge. Is this ok? I called my local hummer dealer to see if I could add a transmission cooler or anything that would help it run cooler and he said I was ok as the h2 has all that is needed. Any suggestions? thanks

Get a bigger Rad, Tranny cooler and oil cooler, make sure you seperate the oil & tranny cooler from your rad, this way each component cools itself independantly from the rad. It will save you a ton of headaches years down the road!

I had the same issue towing a similar weight trailer. I added the PML tranny pan, 180 degree thermostat, and Redline Water Wetter into the radiator. I also switched oil from dino to Mobil1 Synthetic.
The above seemed to have helped a noticable amount.
Other things to consider: changing out rear diff cover to PML cover. Also, replacing transfer case fluid with synthetic ATF. Front & rear diff fluid change to better syn fluids.
I plan on swapping gears to 4.56:1, adding slotted rotors and performance brake pads
BTW, as others have pointed out, the H2s seem to have an issue where we are at risk of the antifreeze and ATF getting mixed together from internal leaks. Doing what I suggested above over seperating the tranny and radiator still leaves you exposed to this risk.
