I almost got a truck instead of the wagon, but it was a 1993 with the 3-speed tranny, and isn't as practical for on-road driving as the 4-speed. Plus it was coupled with the 6.2 diesel. It would have been a dog. Cool though!

Ya it was an orignal option when Hummer first came out, but i know for a fact it was produced in 1998 as well. I think it was a real not model for the Hummer i think they should have continued producing it. Same witht he 4 door open back hard top.
Frenzy1, ive seent eh military ones too in person im talkign about the civilian version.

I think the XLC2 stopped production in 2001.

my fav h1 model has always been the 4 man hard top pick-up. It just looks so badass. Saw a white one when I was at Reeves Hummer a few weeks back. They look sweet, but the 2 passanger pick up is extremely rare which makes it really cool. I guess there arent any owners of them on this site oh well.

I agree the 4 door hard top pickup has also always been my favorite, its just hte 2 door is soo rare that its a unique site to see and i still want to actually see a civilian one in person, but bottom line is ill take any H1!!!!!

2001 was the last year. They made 4. I owned this one. Only had 11k miles on it. I sold it to a collector and its living a good life.

Oh, BTW: To anyone who's interested, there was (as of last night) a pick-up H1 (1993 I think) on eBay, no reserve.
I think its pretty nice, but the interior seemed a little shotty...

I still see one from time to time. they could be ordered as K series trucks for fire, rescue, or other boxes to go on back.

What's a "K-Series"? Is that for like, commercial use or something?

I believe the K-Series were commercially available only (Forest Service, Border Patrol, etc.) and some were built with the 12K springs instead of the 10,300K, which allow for a heavier payload.
