I am wanting a new bumper / winch system as well as a brush guard. I am concerned what this might do to the front airbag system. Will installing any of these items keep the system from deploying when it should? If so, does buying GM branded parts allow the system to deploy correctly.
Same questions about winch/bumper systems. Does doing any of this (for example a new metal bumper instead of the factory one) void any warranty stuff?
Thanks for any help.

Shouldn't void any warranty stuff, but aftermarket bumpers/winch mounts may affect airbag sensors. As F5 has stated on here many times, GM has to test their accessories for these types of things, the aftermarket doesn't.

I agree....:jump:
The front SIR impact sensors used on the H3 do not signal the SDM to inflate the passenger or driver front air bags, but they do signal what the severity of the crash is.
Basically, if a front brush guard is too stiff or not designed to crumble correctly upon impact, the front sensors may not signal the SDM to deploy the bag(s) at stage two. This could cause inhabitants to be injured.
However, to be honest, if I wanted a winch I would install one, and I love the front brush guard Bebe has.
