I just bought a Hitch Cam online and I was supposed to just receive the camera portion and not the 3.5 screen. This is what I got (in black) http://www.hitchcam.com/hitchcam.htm .

I will be sending the video from the camera to my navigation screen. But the wire used for the Hitchcam looks more like an S-Video cable. I am sure however that it is not an s-video cable and instead two of the leads in the wire are for power for the LCD. Does anyone know if this is true and how can I tap into this wire to get a single composite video out of it?

I will be hooking this up to my PAC-Audio VCI-GM2 harness that will supposedly allow me to use the camera on my navigation tv.

I have an S-Video to Composite video converter - but I doubt it will be that easy.

Any suggestions?

That cable should have 4 conductors--power (from reverse), ground, video, and video shield. Just hook it up with the monitor and use a probe/meter to check.
