I broke a half shaft this weekend, how big of a deal is breaking one and can you ruin something else in the process?

I was in a new sub-division playing around on some hills and next thing I know BAM. I actually drove it off the trail, that's why I'm worried something else may have got messed up. The real kicker is I just got the rig back from getting a new front diff.

New front diff too. Hmmm, are they covering the half shaft too?

I bought at ED S but due to distance I have it serviced in Lansing, MI. When I was buying ED was the only dealer out of six that I went to that had what we were looking for....

How do you like there service department????

WTF!!!!! I did the same thing 2 weeks weeks ago at Rausch Creek in PA and GM has always said no way to the parts when I'm offroad...crap what am I doing wrong? Had to shell out $700 smackers for a new right side tie rod and axle. Had a fellow H3 some jeeps and my winch to haul my butt out of the woods. 2 hours to go 1 mile. Here is the link to the pictures, one of the last pictures is of my mechanical carnage. The $ suck but it was fun doing it.
