Does anybody know of a good, reliable reverse email program/website?? I have been searching and found some pretty bad sites. It might be the email address, I haven't gotten any hits on it yet.

Someone has been sending malicious emails to my wife and I want to find out who it is.

Thanks for the help!

What are you looking for exactly? People don't give out their names, phone numbers or addresses when they sign up for email, usually. Look in the header of the email for an ip address, do an ipwhois and you'll get their area and ISP... you could report them to their ISP if it's real bad.

There are ways but it'll cost some money.

Or just post it here and we'll figure something out.:clapping:

FBI, its a federal crime when done over the internet. Even if it is someone just f'n around it will sure make them stop in a hurry. All of that and no fee to you.

Thanks dei I will check the header on the emails she has recieved. I was mainly hoping for a name, they have listed enough personal info in the emails to show that they know us. We don't make enemies and don't have any crazy ex's, we are both at a loss for who would have it out for us.

post up the info. Some of the members on here have MAD SKILZ and should be able to help you out.

It's even worse when this kind of crap starts getting text to you.... on your work cell. THat part can be blocked, (just as your E Mail can) but I would want to find out who was doing it as well.

Post whatever indo you have, the email adress and anything else that is included int eh header. note that some email clients dont show the header info as it is usually not needed, but poke around and there should be a way to show it. Post the info and i'm sure he/she will stop their bitchin.:dancingbanana:

RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!

email: linseemarie@yahoo.com

ip address sent from: 24.21.20.95

I reverse searched the ip address and came up with Beaverton, OR and comcast.net.

The main thing I am after is their name. Thanks for the help.

I agree with the FBI suggestion on this one. If they have information about you personally that would suggest they know you, then their intentions may be less than admirable. Perhaps pull your credit report to see if anything looks suspicious on there to see if they are identity thieves. You havent mentioned the content of the emails other than malicious. Are we talking threats of physical harm? If in your shoes, I'd get the emails, the IP and any other info that the "family" on here can find about the perp and get it to the FBI.

And remember the old motto "In GLOCK we trust"

I think that those of you that live within 100 miles ban up and drive over there and hand them a lil note with a hint...

damn, wtf. I was gona help too but my way was quite different. most of you are probly guessing, are any of these actual locations? you get that off the email account or off his ip? did you think about a dynamic ip, i think comcast offers dynamic service so make sure your looking at the rite time.

well if your not guessing, well done.

The IP location you guys are posting is a very generalized location. I just ran mine and it was waaaaay off.

What makes you think yours is correct?

Well its tricky as ARIN.net is the registrar for all internet IP addresses. Thus, when you register a block of IPs it will be registered that that orginization which may or may not be the actual address of the IP in question.

In most cases the IPs are owned by a company and the actual assigned IP is at that location OR assigned via VPN or DHCP Relay to a remote PC which is not at that location.

Arin.net are good lookups as it gives you a direct source to start working with but its not a 100% source.

Now some orgs have gone as far as revealing the assigned location by way of naming convention via DNS lookup which is what the GOV is calling for in all public networks but its not mandated.

It's Comcast personal, unless you work there or have a warrant... best you will get is the city.
