King, why not stick with the O.G. race shocks FOX. These shocks do have resivors, they are piggyback mounted, which is an upgrade over remote resivors. With the remote you dont get as efficient heat transfer and you have to mess with mounting the resivor, it is already mounted. King and Fox are really almost the same in quality, but Fox has a much better history with working with Production vheicles in racing and with replacement shocks. The race shocks for both companies are very good.
There have been over 30 sets sold already with zero returns, from what I have been told. They were tuned with Rod Hall as the test driver, so the valving compromise is from experience in the dezert. You can change the valving to suit your own driving if you needed. They do reuse the factory front upper bushings, fyi.

I don't think there is an actual part number, they are made exclusively for Rod Hall by Fox Racing Shocks.
You can only get them from Rod, Sam, or your dealer. Sam is selling them for $918.00 for the set. Which is a good deal.
Call the dealer and ask for a price :giggling:

Well you pretty much sold me. I have much respect for Rod Hall and his crew. My brother fabs prerunners and trophy trucks. He has always used King only because we are in So Cal and King is right down the street. Customer service great when its in person. I have nothing against Fox, just product loyalty to King, I guess you could say. Soon to change. Im sure I will get a ration of crap from my brother for going with Fox, but I will be in touch. Thanks for the additional info guys!! :beerchug:

That's just under the Rod Hall H3 racing weight. Those foxes should be just the ticket for you :beerchug:

Very nice Bebe! Can't wait for a performance report. Do you already have the HD torsion bars on? If so, how are they?

King does make great shocks, and Brett and Lance King have always seemed like good guys, and they are a family buisness. I can respect brand loyalty. The Fox shocks are blue, mabye you can just put a King sticker on
Larry Plank was a great driver, I remember seeing him pass 2 other Protrucks, going 3 wide in Laughlin in I think the year 2000. Larry put on a great show for us that day, he was driving the crap out of that Protruck for sure.

So I've had these on since June or so. In August I noticed that the rear passenger side of the truck was sitting low. When I measured both sides (center of hub to bottom of fender) the rear passenger side was about 1.5 inches lower. I was at the dealer today for some maintenance and they looked at it and found nothing out of whack and suggested that the shocks need to be adjusted. Can that be done and do you think the shocks could be the problem? Thanks!

So... any thoughts on adjusting these things? Do you think they could be the cause of the problem?
Thanks

I don't think the shock is part of the problem (I also have the Fox shocks)... you could take the shocks off the rear, does the truck sit level, probably not. Yes, the shocks are pressurized, however, the 1.5 inch difference you noted is extreme and rules out shock problems. I believe the stock measurement from center of hub to fender lip is 24.25 inches. I would imagine you have a broken or bad leaf on the low side. You know, I once knew someone who had this problem after they changed their shackles... they had cinched down the shackle bolts before putting the truck on the ground, or had the shackle bolts cinched down way past spec.
The shock is adjustable. It depends on how much gas you are running and these things can be opened up and have the valves replaced. But I really don't think they would have something to do with your problem.
You might have better luck putting up a new post.

:iagree: The shocks don't support the weight of the truck. The leafs do. Have you gotten under there and checked everything - shackles, swaybar links, body mounts?

Thanks. I looked at it and nothing looks broken. I didn't think to just unhook the shocks and see what happens. Duh. I'll try that. It's really just the dealer trying to get out of fixing something. They see I have aftermarket stuff and they immediately blame problems on that. Now it's up to me to eliminate the aftermarket stuff as the problem. I'll let you know what happens when I remove the shocks... and I'll post a new thread. :)
