I would prefer the full size 6.6 with 400 hp and 750 ft lbs of torque,if anybody cares .And a 6 speed Alli would be nice too.

Western NY = Tonawanda, NY. Large GM engine plant located there.
Start of build in 2009 equates to a 2010 model year truck. But, will it be in the H2 in 2010? :D

the ones produced today are 365 hp / 660 lb-ft; or at least that is for the New Sierra HD3500

It is only 2.5 years away. But since you go through Hummers like chewing gum, I guess for you it would be about 2-4 hummers away.:giggling:

That sounds like my next Hummer. I'll wait until the second year of production so they work out some of the kinks in the new motor....if I can stand waiting that long!
Just think of the sound......and towing.......and slow crawling.....

I said they will never have a Duramax, and that may still be correct. All depends on if GM can market the name Duramax. Right now, it is only called a Duramax in one or two articles. I know I have never said they will not have a diesel, since I have known for quite some time they were going to have a diesel.

Translated: They'll probably put the new engine in the Sierra/Silverado first (more bang for GM's buck), then most likely the H2 the following year (2011).:shhh:
