thank you all very much for the great informatin, but i decided to buy a New Landrover LR3 instead of the Hummer
a big deciding factor was the friends and family opinion, and the lack of salesmanship at the Hummer dealership, i mean the guy acted like he didnt want to even sell me the truck- or i could not affoard it:rant: ,
where Landrover sent a truck to pick me up and gave me one for the day to play around with:D ,
when it comes down to it, customer service says alot about the product, again, thanks a bunch guys, you've been great
see you on the trails!

the LR3 is a great truck. I agree that customer service and salesmanship are great deciding factors for new vehicle buyers, but some dealers just dont get it. Congradulations and good luck.:beerchug:

It's too bad the Hummer salesguy burned you. I've had bad experiences at various dealerships too. Stevinson Toyota and Medved Hummer, to name two. (But thank god for Al Serra Hummer in Colorado Springs). Have fun with the LR3.

I can sympathize with you, I recall my H3 shopping day started at the dealership with pretty poor service, loosing keys, dealers not knowing the inventory or knew little about the vehicle's capability. I went in pretty educated and after 5 hours of his BS, I walked out. I was able to use this bad experience at their sister dealer and spoke w/ the Director of Service Assistance, who took my complaint even higher up the ladder.

Needless to say, I got the H3 from that dealer, they did not make any profit from me either + I got free dinner, free fill-up on gas, and free Hummer floor mats.

As for your Land Rover, get ready for endless electronic issues, and once your warranty is expired, hefty maintenance costs. I speak on behalf of 4 friends who all drive Discos and an HSE. Depending on my experience w/ my Hotel3, that will determine their new vehicle.

Yeah..Mee Too.. I had 2 Farged Up Dealers. The first didn't no Animal Fat:OWNED: about the H3.. I knew more them him. When asked how long he had been selling HUMMERS..he said about 1 year. I asked what he did before selling HUMMERS.. he siad..Duh.. I used to Manage a Pizza store in a strip mall...Insert ..IDIOT HERE.

The second dealer actullay took an order and BS-ed me for 13 weeks before I found out after 3 weeks GM cancelled the order as the New Marker Lights were put on Constrant..(Fancy talk for ..There Farged up and were trying to fix the problem). I found out by calling the General. Dealer got pissed that I called and dimed him out. Told dealer...go pound sand .

The General Gave me a $200.00 Future Repair Voucher Letter good anytime for my agg with the second dealer.

If I were you I would call HUMMER customer assistance and Drop a dime on the dealer that snubbed you. Tell them you bought a LR instead beacuse of the Dim witt dealer. The General Don't like that crap. Tell the General how you feel.. Maybe he'll send you something.

Good luck with the Rover.. It's a well made Vehicle... Too bad it would go as far in the mudd as an H3..
:jump:

Third dealer was the Charm.. Best G-Dam dealer in the world.
NEW CAR HUMMER...New Castle Delaware..

I'm glad you got a landrover. You sound like a whiner and weakling who doesn't deserve a HUMMER. A person who has to listen to his friends and family to have an opinion doesn't deserve a hummer. The salesman probably recognized your type right off. You stick with those foreign greenhouses and stay out of the way of THE TOUGH MEN AND WOMEN who drive a real offroad Truck. THE HUMMER. When you say HUMMER, you meant the H1 and H2 right?

Because I remember you posting this,

Make it look like an H3 did that hurt I thought the H3 was a small cheap imitation of an H2 .The REBEL

Isnt your H2 a cheaper and less capable imitation of the H1? and why is such a little guy (from what i've read) driving any of the Hummers anyway?

Nope. Most H2 owners bought the H2 because it has more creature comforts than the H1. Still just as capable but more comfortable. That's not the case with the H3 but that's an old story.

Just as long as I'm taller than Timgco, At 5'10" I'm feelin fine.:D

congrats on the 5 10 thing, from some of the posts i was getting a different impression, but am glad to hear the good news.:beerchug:

most H2 owners would dump the 2 for the 1 in a heartbeat. Many 3 owners went with the 3 because of its smaller and more city friendly stature. Dont get me wrong i love the 2, just your jokes get a little pricky and pointless sometimes.:)

When i served as a Long Range recon spec. during Bosnia, I discovered that there are people out there who define weak by thier possesions, thier creed, or what religion they are,ETC. my experience is to judge them by thier actions, so if you want to hike up that skirt and hop in the octagon with 4 ounce gloves and dance with me, thats fine- but being a tough guy on the internet is for loosers:twak:
and i dont know about you, but i trust my friends and family

And thank the rest of you very much, its cool for the advice

I hear about how dealers vary. My wifes Cadillac dealer treats us much better than my Hummer dealer. The Hummer dealer is not really bad, but the Cadillac dealer goes out of their way to make us happy. I have an employee who has a LandRover that she loves, but they have to drive 9 hours to another state to use a dealer who helps them. The dealer near here she hates.

Nothing new there.

Did the H3 do anything? Or is that how it normally travels, an overpriced tow trailer?:clapping: :beerchug: :OWNED:

Hmm.. I think the guy that took these photos also put some videos up on Google Video. I'll have to see if I can dig those up, but they are not the action shots you want to see. All the money shots were taken before I got stuck, if filmed I would of had a pretty good water fording video.
