DOES THE TOYOS MUD TIRE GET LOUDER IN TIME ? MY FRIEND ROTATED HIS TODAY AND ALWAYS DOES AT 3000 MILES ON THEM. THEY NOW HAVE 25.000 ON THEM AND AFTER ROTATEING THEM TODAY THEY ARE VERY VERY LOUD. AIR PRESSURE IS THE SAME. COULD THEY JUST GET LOUDER IN MILES WEAR ? DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE THIERS GET LOUDER IN MILEAGE TIME ?BEFORE ROTATING THEM TODAY THEY WERE NOT THAT LOUD AT ALL.JUST A LITTLE HUM BUT NOW IT IS SO ,SO LOUD ? HELP ????

they are probly louder after rotabe because they were not wearing normaly so now that the positions are switched they dont make full contact with the ground, which im guessing can cause vibration or noise. juts my guess.

had mine for 2000 miles now, and noise is still the same.

He put them back like they were and thats whats weird about this ! the noise is still louder. doesnt make no sence does it ? the tire store does knbow what to think either.the noise should go back to where it was but its still much louder. any know what could have happen ?

only thing i can think of is tire pressure

Thats what i thought to. what is a good pressure to run on the 315 75 16 toyos ? what do you run on yours ?would 5 really make a diffrence ? i think he is at 35 hot. would 5 more lbs in each tire make it louder ? so whats the lowest you can run on the highway every day driving ?30 35 ?

35 PSI is low for those. I run 40-42 PSI. I also have ~20K miles on mine and they are still pretty quiet. Although MT's in general have a tendency to get louder with wear.

i agree with the abnormal wear comment.
there are different ways to rotate tires.
some simply go back to front and others go back to front and switch sides.
my best guess would be that the tires were wearing abnormally and after the rotation when you tried to put them back in place, either the fronts, rears or all ended up on opposite sides.
if this is the case it sounds like the truck was way overdue for an alignment and once aligned, it will take a little time for the tires after rotation to get back to normal wear.
you should be able to see if this is the case simply by looking at the inner and outer edge of the treads on each tire and seeing if there is additional or less wear than the rest of the tread.
i am not sure about toyo mud terrrains, but the mt's i have used in the past tend to be softer rubber and more exagerated treads, thus the extra noise. they tend to wear faster on the asphault than at's.
but they look cool and they sure handle better off road!
and let's face it, we'd all rather look cool and possibly attract hot chicks with our cool, loud tires on our h3's anyway!

one complaint: why isn't there a "hot chick" icon sysmbol available on this board?

35 psi is low, oops, im running about 32-33, and im still not getting contact with the ground on the outer thread, just the middle. The noise im getting is just a little over the stock wranglers i had. isnt 40 psi the max, or does that say just to seat the beads use 40 psi max?

it says 65 max on the tire but i thought most run 35 hot. what ever you put in the tire it will get hotter and go up a few lbs when the tire gets hot.. so is 35 or 40 hot better ?if its 35 then when cold should be 3 lbs less be good when it is cold.and if 40 hot then 3 lbs less when its cold ?i always have been told when the tire gets hot it will go up a few lbs like 3 or 4 ????

I told my friend what you said but he doesnt know what to do . they are so so very loud and cant hardly talk whlie driving. shouldnt be that way with only 25.000 miles on them and he rotated them every 3000 miles.somethuing doesnt add up sice he put them back like they were and still cant the noise level down to where it was.they are not cupped that much either.

Do all MT and AT tires get louder as they wear down?

I think the mt,s all do thats what I have heard.his toyos are almost to the sound that you cant even drive and talk anymore.

In my experience all get louder and some MUCH louder. But I am still happy with my choice in the Toyos MTs as they are by far the quietest i have had thus far on a 4x4.

Do all MT and AT tires get louder as they wear down?

So what tire pressure does everyone run in the toyo 315 75 16 whlie the tire is hot ?
