I know some of you have had luck with getting an warranty extension for little or no money.....
Does anyone have the number of who to call for this?
Did anyone get the recent letter to extend the warranty? I did and it was going to cost me another $128 per month. I have over 45,000 miles on it now and the warratny is up at 50k but we are only leasing this one....I was holding out for the V8 before I purchased.
Is there any other useful advice anyone has on the warranty? Wes?

i've been told purchasing out of state can save you some money from taxes.

It has some info on extended warranty prices, and f5s post is #9 gives some info on where to get it from.

You can buy GMPP good at any Hummer dealer coast to coast from the dealer or maybe direct from GM. call humme cust service for that info. get one just long enough to cover your lease. most of the (free) floating around here is due to head replacement issues in eailry 06 trucks

yes it is GM and the dealer can mark them up so price without any markup will require research but hummer customer service should be able to direct you on that.

You can purchase a Hummer GMPP from any GM dealer, it does not have to be Hummer.

I thought all H3s were coming with an "extended" warranty, due to the 06 head issue.

i will probably be purchasing one im @ 27k now so have a while still .
be sure to shop around for best price and only get a GM extended warranty not someone else's . i have heard of problems with the non-manufacturer warranties .

A little piece of paper slipped into my warranty book sez...
"2007 Supplement to the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information Booklet..."
"In addition to the Vehicle Coverage described in the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet, GM will warrant each 2007 model year passenger car, light truck or van for 5 years or 100,000 miles with no deductible for Power train components (Engine, Transmission, Transaxle, Transfer Case, and Drive Systems... includes courtesy transportation program..."
Am I missing something here??

YES !!!!!!
you are missing something...
The 06 has a shorter warrenty then the 07...
unless you had a head problem and did a lot of talking and received a extended warrenty...they did not appear out of thin air...

Got it. Seems pretty whacked that they wouldn't just offer the extended warranty to all 06 owners, too. My bad. :twak: Good luck!

Maybe GM will make the BEST MARKETING MOVE in the industry and
GIVE ALL H-3 owners the better warranty...
can you imagine the "GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS ADVERTISING" that would bring !!!
My gosh, that would make it to the front page of every auto , truck and SUV magazine as well as newspapers, radio and TV...
HEY GENERAL MOTORS ARE YOU LISTENING !!!

the warranty "extension" was not specific to HUMMERS....most, if not all of the GM product line power train warranty was increased, not extended....
