I just got a '06 H-2 and the swing arm with spare smacking me in the back while loading is killing me. Other than a stick, any hold open latch kits available?

I don't know of any, but one trick is to slightly lower your rear door and have it "catch" on the tire to prevent it from swinging in any further.

H2Oguy makes carriers with a hold-open latch.

Is this a problem with the full-body truck only? My SUT tire stays where I put it.

I wonder if there's a way to adjust or shim the mounting bolts and shift the center of gravity? Or is there a way to tighten the hinge?

To tighten the hinge, don't grease it. Ever. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Joe, to solve the problem immediately, start parking in the other direction.

Move to a city on the coast with no hills or inclines...or like Kenp said park the other way

Welcome, your going to love your truck
