Where is the buzzing sound coming from? Does it change pitch with RPM's?
Help us help you:
Cockpit = OnStar mic
Engine = ?
Trans = check fluid first
Diffs = ?

It only happens while under acceleration at low speeds and only for a short period of time. Buzzing sounds like fuel pump to me. Not any type of alarm. More of a high pitch whine. It lasts for about 3 seconds then goes away. It happens almost everytime I take off. No change with RPMs. Sound is coming from around the engine. Thanks M

Maybe it's the factory supercharger whine -:jump:
Turn the wheel all the way to lock with the truck on - maybe low power steering fluid.

Mine (2005 SUT) has done the same thing for over 40,000 miles. Dealership couldn't figure it out, so I've just ignored it.

Roughrider, I've got the same sound. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't figure it out. I was able to localize it to something related to the throttle body. I took the air filter out and put it back after blowing it off and the pitch of sound changed. I have about 12k miles on my 06' and it just started about a month ago. If the windows are down its more noticeable right around 2-2500 rpm.

Ensure the air filter is fully seated into place, seen too many to count that were not properly installed and intake air passed by the filter. I use A small prybar to push the filter into the housing and it will then drop into place. You should see A small retainer at the bottom of the filter holding it into place if it is installed fully. Its A very tight fit so if it went into place easy it likely is not seated
