Hummer owner gets angry message
Vandals batter D.C. man's SUV, slash its tires and scratch in an eco note
Gareth Groves bought a Hummer, parked in on the street outside his home, and less than a week after he had Washington, D.C., tags, it was vandalized with windows and headlights smashed, tires slashed and the metal body chopped with a machete-like tool. Some passerbys are horrified, others say he deserved it for owning such a vehicle.

Not going to say he deserves it, but he should really know better. If you want to own a Hummer (or any nice vehicle) in the District, you better have off-street parking lined up first.

The funny thing is my 4 cyl Audi gets worse gas mileage than my H3. Im getting 12mpg at best, but thats with 300whp :dancingbanana: If they only knew. :shhh: dont tell the tree huggers.

Wow, what type of Audi is that? TT turbos don't get that type of hp?
The semi tractor I drove gets 6 MPG.

I'm still scratching my head trying to find where I can buy a new H2 SUT for that cheap!:giggling: The eco-terrorists that did this are nothing but turds in a punch bowl. Are they so stupid that they think they are saving the environment by this act of vandalism? Last time I checked, we live in America where we can own the vehicle of our choice. Next thing you know, they eco-commies will have us all driving Prius. East Germany did it with the Trabant; I'm sure they got great milage, especially since they were a 2-stroke, 2-cylinder engine.:lame:

I just watched the video - I see that it's a 2005. Still a pretty good deal. The news report makes such a big deal that it won't fit it his garage. My friend's Dodge Power Wagon won't fit either. I see plenty of "massive" pickup trucks in my area, yet everyone picks on the Hummers. I hope we don't see a bunch of copy-cat crimes committed on other Hummer owners. Keep your rig safe!

i just hope the eco punks never realize what kind of "economy" the average boat gets!
at cruise, ours burns 80 galllons per hour at 35 knots!
that's less than a half a mile per gallon!
sure won't keep me from fishing though!

haha, yeah its an 03 A4, but I put all forged internals, and am running a huge garrett gtrs35 turbo, that coupled with 750cc injectors and high volume fuel pump, front mount intercooler, so I'm paying at the pump. Custom program on ECU doesn't help either. Its a money pit. I am done with that though. I need to start dumping some dough into the H3, shes been neglected.

"For the environ" was their witty little writ right? If I were him, I would have talked alot more in depth to the reporter, about the envirment and made sure it made the article. How the tires that still had years of use left will now have to go in a land fill, and all the carbon output that went into making them, not to mention petrolium used in the process that is now going to waste along having to replace them. How about all the chemicals that are going to be used in refinishing and painting it again, not to mention the waste of the first coat of paint. Does this go along with the glass too or should we just say that there's enough sand to go around? Oh wait! it takes coal and natural gas to melt the sand, and electricity to run the forms. Wow how much more of a non needed carbon footprint can we add? Sounds like these well educated faunaphiles are doing wonders for the environments well being and protection. Maybe if we can all join forces and act like this in unison we can get a nationwide air quality of just above Toledo's. Why not talk about battery disposal, or the fact that Sudbury residents are being poisoned daily by the towers ofthe plant that supplys Prius? No that would mean that every "ecoadvantage" has it's disadvantages wouldn't it? After all, that would just be too openminded and simple wouldn't it.

WOW, if you google that pic, you can find it online. I posted that same post b/c I found it funny, guess others thought it would make a Hummer owner furious. I really hope this trend doesn't spread to the south east. I bet insurance rates began to rise if this continues.....:rant:

Yes they would most likely get their a$$es kicked as well as get arrested and have to pay restitution.
That's my whole point, if they are so proud of what they're doing and think what they're doing is right, then that shouldn't scare them.
Protesters for other causes don't mind getting arrested for their cause. They speak their mind and are proud of what they believe in.
These people are just low life cowards.
The reverse propaganda doesn't sound too bad.
