There are thousands of KNOWN issues with any new OS release, especially Vista. Wait a year before getting a new OS, especially one from Wild Willy.

The screen went dead on my old home laptop of 2003 vintage. so, i went out and bought a $600 Toshiba. It works well and is very fast, but I don't like the layout of the new Windows. I'm pessimistic that they will improve that, since it seems they are going backwards on the user-friendliness concept.

if you need another os right away vista is probably not the best choice. if you can wait a little while then vista will be better than most of the choices. Vista will always be better on a pc made for it. installing on an old pc is just unnecesary and wreckless.:giggling:

if you get the right hardware vista will blow you away. otherwise it will drive you nuts

it is probably the most user friendly windows yet, i dont get what people are complaining about. is it because you have more control, more options or what?
