I didn't want to wear down the 37's anymore since I will be going to Tellico in late sept. I put the stock A/T's back on. Its nice to fit in parking decks, go through the local car wash at the normal price, and go to my favorite alignment shop again! The 37's were the straw the broke the camel's back on those things. I kept the 37" spare on the back though so its one less I have to change out when off roading. Its also nice to not feel the grinding of MT's when coming to a stop.
It does look neutered though! Oh well, I dont want to have bald 37's out at Tellico!
The point of all this is that if you have mud tires, or bling, I highly recommend just buying another set of stock H2 rims/tires for about 500-700 bucks and keeping them handy. Also, one of my blinger friends kept his so he could take off his 22's and actually wheel with us. Then, he found his rig on blocks.. His beloved 22's with mall rated tires were gone (much like the other recent post)! Lucliy he had the stockers in the garage so he was mobile again. He also commented on how nice the stock ride was! I think in the long run the 500 bucks will pay for its self in tires alone.

Right. the tire wont fit in the rails ath the automated one (width). Also it does lift the truck by about an inch-two inches depending on brand. The stock At's are about 34 and 7/8" inches tall when brand new, and my coopers were just over 37".

if you put 37 tires on the stock wheel like some do wouldnt it still fit since the wheel is not any wider ?maybe a 37 13.50 17 is what some peope are running ? i wander if that would still fit. anyone running stock wheels with the 37 tire ? let us know if you can run it through a regular car wash tunnel ?

Rim width doesn't matter a lot when it comes to this large of a tire. Most people run 10" wide wheels for aftermarket. Stock is about 9.5".
Here is a good calculator to compare http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Your alignment shop wouldn't touch 37s? Wierd. Even my dealer would work on my truck with 37s! They won't touch it the lift now tho.

The dealer will, but my local allignment guy's machine is too small to get the wire to run across the front of the tires. The biggest his will fit are 285's. (he does my track allignments for my vette so he gets it perfect, but doesnt ever do trucks).

My 37's are on stock wheels and they are 37x12.50 so I think one inch or so wider than the stock BFGs. The 37's dont fit in the car wash tracks. The side lugs dont help matters. It wants to "climb" out of the track.

My 35/12.5s fit just fine in a car wash... 37/12.5 would be the same.

Great! Obvouisly my carwash is diffrent than yours! 37 x12.5's dont fit at the cactus car wash in buckhead or midtown in Atlanta. There... I don't claim to know the specs on every car wash! The point is that now my truck fits again at MY carwash and its nice.

If I take measurements of my rig, would you tell me if my truck would fit in your car wash?
