I would like to dump the external rear tire carrier on our new 06 H2 SUV, and not carry a spare at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question:

1. Does anyone know of a kit that a) plugs the holes in the bumper, and b) relocates the lighted license plate holder to the rear hatch?

Does anyone have a GM part # for the
1. lighted license plate holder without chrome form earlier models,
2. the handle
3. the new black tow hooks (narrower than the ones being taken off), so do not fit into the new tow hook holders
4. black tow hook holders
5. piece of wiring harness that goes from the new lighted license plate holder to the plug that is somewhere under the headliner?
6. Anything I may have forgot to list?

Any GM parts guys out there that have this very valuable info? This would help everyone wanting to remove their rear tire carrier.

Help! Thanks.

I don't have the numbers, but there is no magic kit for the quarter size hole in the plastic bumper (you can buy that trim piece, though). Also, to get the light above the plate you'll need the entire plastic bucket from an 03 or 04 - then wire it in.

Hi,

No problem with the small hole. Rubber plug should do just fine.

Yes, I need the "plastic bucket", and I also need a part # for it, because without it, I am not getting anywhere.....

I did it the easy way. Just go and get a license plate lamp. Something like this should work:

Just veify the size at one of your local autoparts stores.

Saves a boat load of money.:excited:
