Hi All,

My Buddy was up a Silver Lake (MI) sand dunes. Caught some guys from GM in H3's and H2's running around bashing on a test mule of what appeared to be an H3-Tuck.

He said they were giving out zero information on anything.

I have bigger just couldn't post.

I like what I see, it has definitely been stretched and I like how they are not using the rear passenger doors as part of the wheel well, that area is always a pain to clean after wheeling.

x2! I swear I spend the most time trying to clean that passenger door/wheel well area. Hopefully, it will also make it easier for bigger/taller people to get in the back seat.

man i dunno about that thing. will it still have the 4x4 parts on it? that thing is way too long to go fully offroad with... if thats the case will it have the alpha v8? or will it actually be more powerful to actually get some work done?

clearance will be affected by that longer wheel base.
everybody will want a 3" lift now.
it has to add a ton more leg room in the back seat though!
i dont know why they didnt just go with the original concept and keep the same length and a semi open back seat.
at least that way, it has nice lines.

Seems to me I've seen quite a few Taco crew cabs off road, and the answer to your questions is yes.:jump:

Crew cabs sell better in smaller trucks. Trust me, the lines will be just fine.

Looks like the hardcores will have to bobb 6 inches off the rear. :dancingbanana: If youre going to bobb you might as well dovetail it too. :perfect10s:

it is hard to tell from those pics, but it seems like the changes will reduce the departure angle.
i think it make alot of sense to stow the spare underneath, although it will be a big mess anytime you need to do a tire change.

I think it's going to kick A$$. With the amount of trucks I see up here in the Gold Country, it's going to sell really well with the construction crowd.

Now if someone could just come up with a decent lift kit.....:beerchug:

I'm going to put my Alpha plans aside for the next year and see what this has to offer. I've seen twice comments about the V8 as an option. I'm going to check it out.

It will be the break over angle that will be affected, not clearance (but I knew what you meant ;) ) and yes and no on the leg room. Yes it will have more leg room than the standard quad cab in this size truck, no, it will not be different than the current backseat of an H3 - it will be identical as far as leg room goes.

Anyone in the know care to share whether the bed will be integrated into the body like the SUT, or separate like a regular pickup.

I still think the wheelbase is going to be too long. It's not just the breakover that's affected but turning radius also. And you can't fix that with a lift.

like a pickup, not an SUT.

I don't like it at all. Its too long. I thought it was supposed to look like an SUT not a Silverado. And whats up with the spare underneath? GM dropped the ball on this one.
