H3 Sitting in my Driveway

Well, it looks like it is going to happen.

McGinnis Hummer let me take a red H3 Lux/Offroad home while they shop my Touareg with some wholesalers for the best price. I felt funny taking the H3 even though it was a demo with only 2K showing, but McGinnis has treated me great and I expect we'll work out a deal. The H3 drives, rides and handles great. It even found it's way home from a great party last night. :shhh:

I have two friends that have been interested in getting an H3, coming by this evening to take it for a spin as well. Sounds like we might be forming our own H3 club. ;)

Not at all, the party was thrown by an Indian couple and we enjoyed the last several hours out on the patio sweating off the alcohol with some crazing dancing, :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana:

then mellowed out sitting around the hookah pipe with deserts and coffee.

It was in a real nice neighborhood that I was not completely familiar with, and at three in the morning, I was not sure I was on the right way home. :confused:

Oh, and one of my buddies is already giving me a hard time about the chrome pkg. I guess I'm old school, where the more expensive your car was, the more chrome it had. Not looking to add any more however. ;)

No pics yet. Went to the Astros game last night right after work.

However things have already changed: Usually at the ball game downtown I park on the street for free, but my work buddies chided me all day yesterday that with all the chrome, I would surely get my vehicle stolen or hijacked one day, so I decided for the first time ever that maybe I'd go ahead and pay to park in a lot while at a ball game. :mad:

My wife and 19 year old daughter don't even know about the H3 yet. They are visiting grandma in St. Louis and I have to go pick them up at the airport tonight. I am going to walk with them out to the parking garage and act like my Touareg was stolen. :eek:
When I click the remote to help locate my vehicle, they are going to be surprised!

As far as mods go, I am mainly trying to figure out how to carry a couple of kayaks on top. I didn't get any crossbars because they aren't wide enough to accommodate two kayaks, so I intended on going with Yakima towers and bars that would fit in the factory channel. However Yakima currently only has provisions to attach to the factory cross bars. :mad: Not a big problem immediately as I have a kayak trailer that can I can use as well. Till I need to take four or five kayaks on one trip.
